Re: DFC Player updates 26/27

I don't know these players that well but it looks as if we are looking to build a competetive team. It's also great to see us getting in early. Obviously how the team plays once the season kicks off is another matter, but after a mediocre season, its nice to have some hope of an improvement.

Re: New Manager

Morning Pete, 1970 was my year and yes, I've heard all about Tommy Huckstep and Ackerman.
I'm only a boy.
Terry has always been my favourite attacker as far as taking on defenders and finishing.
But I'll never forget that goal he scored against us in the semi final of the Trophy. Our defence ...

Re: New Manager

No idea how this will work out. But presumably we had to pay Margste to bring him here so maybe not cheap. Likewise, he knows the club inside out doesn't register for me. He knows where the changing rooms are? Knows the board? Knows we are stagnating and have been in decline for a few years?

I'll ...

Just to add. We seem to go out of every cup competition at the first opportunity. A run in the cup brings revenue.

Re: Ady Departs

After nearly going up as champions and losing the play off final at home last season, I logically hoped we would push on this season. Instead we basically settled into being 'top half of the table'.
That shouldn't be acceptable to the club or fans. I live abroad so I don't see the games but Ramsgate ...

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026

Sad way to end the battle for the play offs but the damage was done earlier in the season. I was desperately hoping we'd scrape in but we were always pushing our luck. Too many silly draws when we needed wins. Overall, not good enough.

Good win. We are looking good. But we've left it so late. The mathematics are we needvtwo wins and Chatham to lose one.

Re: Dartford v Lewes Sat 21st March 3pm

Great win. After a few results and while back, I was getting sick of the whole set up and the floundering in the Isthmian prem. But a win at Cheshunt, a good draw at Folkestone, and now a good win at home, and belief comes crawling back. Sounded like we were getting pushed back at 2-1 but in the end ...

Re: Folkestone Invicta v Dartford Sat 14 Mar 2026

I'd written us off to be honest. But that is one helluva performance and result against the champions elect. Thanks to some of our more witless performances, the play offs are remote now. But while there's life there's hope. We need to ay to win from now on. Draws won't suffice. But maybe the team ...

Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Tue 10 Mar 2026

I'll be honest. It feels academic now. We could possibly kick on and put a run together. But we just seem utterly mediocre now., and if we sneak into the play offs, I can't see us beating anyone. Sorry for the negativity but its just painful these last months, and an odd goal win at Cheshunt is just ...

Re: Welling Utd v Dartford Sat 28 Feb 2026

Speaking for myself, I totally get the celebrations. A last minute winner is always sweet, and against a local rival who hates you is even better. Once outside the ground, the reality of having scraped a win against a team who can barely buy a win, and a dreadful performance to boot, should cool the ...

Re: Welling Utd v Dartford Sat 28 Feb 2026

That is utterly pathetic. Can we offload Pennock now and build for next season, as this one is over?

Things must be bad when a victory is not good enough 🥴

Missed the late goal so apologies for the fury.

Still think Pennock is not the answer but I'll wait until we lose to demand his ...

Re: Dartford v Welling Sat 1 Nov 2025

Agree with Grassbank - this would be a great return fixture over Christmas or New Year. There's no especially rivalry with Chatham and these games would be much better attended that the games we'll actually get.
Having said that, we have come off a miserable run of form and it would be typical if ...

Re: Cray Wanderers v Dartford Sat 25 Oct 2025

Okay,I admit after the FA Trophy exit I wanted shot of Ade. I still don't understand why its taken so long to gel, but we seem to have finally got into gear and for that I'm grateful. I hope we can push on now as this league should not be where we are mired, but at least we are playing football and ...
