Dartford FC feature in Football Focus magazine

Football Focus magazine has a 10 page spread on the Darts. See page 87 onwards. Nice to see the 5 year plan getting a mention…

About a dozen non league clubs featured including a couple from Kent (Folkestone and Faversham) plus my new home town side, Felixstowe & Walton.

LR, not sure how long Ady’s contract has left which might also determine if the club can afford a dismissal even if they we’re currently considering it?

How hard is it to bounce back after relegation from the NLS?

A fella called Ben Mapp has been delving into the stats on clubs relegated from the NLS to the ILP. Made for interesting reading although I’m not sure there’s anything positive in there for the Darts to cling onto.

Perhaps if the club could state when the link would be sent it might stop all these requests? Last year I received it a few hours in advance if I recall correctly.

Re: Dartford v Brentwood Town Sat 31 Jan 2026

Apparently Nobes and a few of the old core boys will be at the game Saturday. Nobes been injured all season and was desperate to play in this match when we spoke at the end of last season. Shame, I’m sure he would have received a fantastic ovation.

Re: Hashtag Utd v Dartford Fri 9 Jan 2026

I personally really dislike the new play off system they've pushed into the national leagues and now seemingly we are going to adopt. It just rewards being mediocre and giving a team who finished in 7th PLACE a chance for promotion. Thats not right. Its all about the leagues getting more income ...

Re: Hashtag Utd v Dartford Fri 9 Jan 2026

Perhaps it’s not all bad news. From next season, in steps 3 and 4, play off places will be extended to 7th position. No more worrying about grabbing that 5th spot. That should please the board …

I remember him. It was the time when we went all American I think. The American style posts behind the football goals and shirts with two vertical stripes (like braces). Kicking cheap plastic footballs into the crowd for the kids to keep. Success on the pitch - not much!

Lee Noble is still recovering from a knee injury and hasn’t appeared for Brentwood this season. However, he advises me that he will be at the ground on Saturday. I’m sure he’s looking forward to reminiscing with all the Darts supporters about that promotion final winning goal again…

Re: Dartford v Burgess Hill Town Tue 30 Sep 2025

To pick up a point from a previous post, I have no idea if Henly is good captain material or not. However, what I observe is that opponents' captains spend the entire match in the ear of the ref, constantly complaining and making observations and their opinions known. I am sure that this has an ...

Re: Goodbye Dave

Really sad news. Last time I had a really good chat with Duke was in the bar at Dulwich about 4-5 years ago when we covered all sorts of football related matter! Having read Duke’s post (copied on here by Trev) that he was in ill health it made me think of my own mortality. So many Darts supporters ...
