Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Lee Noble signs for Heybridge Swifts. They’ll be playing in the Essex Senior next season after relegation from the IL North.

Re: New Manager

Morning Pete, 1970 was my year and yes, I've heard all about Tommy Huckstep and Ackerman.
I'm only a boy.
Terry has always been my favourite attacker as far as taking on defenders and finishing.
But I'll never forget that goal he scored against us in the semi final of the Trophy. Our defence ...

Re: New Manager

Makes complete sense for Ben to bring his staff across. Let's just hope Flanagan is a better assistant than he was manager..

I do expect a few players to follow also as is the norm at this level and there is some talent in that Margate squad, however wouldn't want too many as we surely can do ...

So Croydon then!

And Colchester now as Stanway Rovers won the Isthmian North play off final on pens. Stanway manager, Jamie Shaw, has just secured their second successive promotion after previously winning the Essex Senior League. I can see him getting some offers to manager elsewhere ...

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

There will be no trip to Jersey next season for Dartford. The Bulls lost their play off semi final on penalties after a 0-0 draw with AFC Whyteleafe. In the other Isthmian South East play off semi-final AFC Croydon beat Sittingbourne 2-0

Brilliant.
You want: Weekend in Jersey
You’d settle for ...

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

No, I mean this season.
Under achieved.

Second season syndrome is about newly-promoted teams that are relatively small for their new division. They have momentum, confidence and a good playing system from their promotion season, and bigger teams underestimate them. After their first season ...

Re: Ady Departs

Club may need to head hunt this time, Horlock of Maldon and Tiptree would be my choice.

Depends on the clubs ambitions I guess, inviting passive, quiet and yes men seems to be a requirement in a CV.

Gregg, I follow Felixstowe since moving here, it’s been in a season long battle with Maldon and ...

Re: Ady Departs

Whilst some are mentioning possible managers I would like to put my nomination forward. Hakan Hayrettin has not been working for a few months but I understand he is ready to return. He has been successful at various clubs such as Maidstone. Braintree Thurrock, Dulwich and Walthamstow and has been ...

Possibly, LR, but the last unofficial lineup showed them in the IL Premier. Would be handy if they were diverted elsewhere, of course 🙏

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026

Next season Dartford will be competing against two new teams with very deep pockets, Eastbourne and Maldon & Tiptree, on the back of two conflicting campaigns. Eastbourne spaffing cash on a full time model that they made a complete mess of and Maldon only just pipping Felixstowe for the Isthmian ...

Sorry Skip. Only just seen your message in response to my comment. I'm very very surprised your original post didn't attract more views or comments, to be honest.
I will be travelling down to the last game v Cray Valley, irrespective of the result this coming weekend. But if there is anything on ...

Re: RIP - Vice President Dave Homewood

I found out recently that Dave’s wife, Jan, recently sadly passed away. Both Jan and Dave were a lovely couple and long time supporters of the club. Always used to enjoy chats with them both about the many ups and downs the Darts suffered over the years.

RIP Jan.

They had a record attendance set in September 2025 of 1574 Vs Billericay.

But it also says their highest attendance was 1661 vs Dulwich Hamlet in 2016.

Some sources (e.g., Wikipedia) indicate higher potential capacity (up to 3,000 in some reports), but 1,000 to 1,500 is the commonly cited ...

Great result and game in the PP sunshine !

That performance looked again like my Dartford - let’s go and smash Canvey now and make the two teams above us think we are on their backs

Great to see the legendary Ryan Hayes being recognised too - I stood and applauded but it did make me laugh to ...

Re: Dartford v Chatham Town Mon 6 Apr 2026

I agree with Rambo. I believe that victory in each of our last four games would put us in the play-offs. Victory today will keep fourth place a possibility whilst any other result will see us in a battle with Brentwood for fifth.

I do not believe that we have finished fifth in any league since ...

So we're up against a team whose players have been battling against relegation, blissfully unaware that relegation was their club's objective. Having formally requested to get relegated anyway, the club are apparently seeking to make it even more official by securing an official relegation spot as ...

Edit. Seen it now.

Thanks for that link Skip. Long time no see. The article just goes to show how much goes on behind the scenes. It is also why I continue to buy my season ticket each year since the Darts returned to Dartford at Princes Park, even though I may only get down from Merseyside once or twice a season. I ...
