Re: Dartford v Brentwood Town Sat 31 Jan 2026

To be fair, whatever the performance, goals win matches, and that is what we've done. And what an important win with the teams behind us all winning too. Brings us to within 2 points of Brentwood.

Didn't get to hear the commentary as other events took precedence. Thanks for the goals though Kev ...

Re: Dartford v Aveley Sat 17 Jan 2026

I seemed unable to tune into the commentary yesterday, missed the action until it appeared on the Football Web site. Even then, there seemed to be delays in updating the score and it showed 9 minutes of stoppage time at the end of the 2nd half. Pleased to read of our improved performance, especially ...

Re: Chatham Town v Dartford Sat 27 Dec 2025

Hadn't been aware that Chatham were a full time teams, although I knew their Sid Nelson from his days at Tranmere, where I thought he was an excellent player and even now only 29 years of age.

Seems an excellent start, with that early 2 goal start, although from the commentary, at times we were ...

Re: Chatham Town v Dartford Sat 27 Dec 2025

I see that Chatham beat Bromley in the Kent Senior Cup yesterday. Maybe not a full strength side fielded by Bromley, perhaps.

Anyway, to all supporters , team, management and those behind the scenes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. COYD

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 29 Nov 2025

Once again, enjoyed the commentary, and it seemed the Darts were well deserving of victory, although like others who were there, it was a very nervous final 15 minutes before we hung on for the 3 points.
Well played Darts, especially given the number of injuries we have.
One question I have for ...

Re: FAC 2nd ROUND - DARTS HOME TO KEYNSHAM TOWN (T4)

Well done to the Darts Ladies. Just seen that 2-1 win against Keynsham Town on the Football Web Pages site.

Reminds me of the days of listening to Radio Luxemburg and the Horace Batchelor pools forecasting advert and him based in Keynsham, spelt K-E-Y-N-S-H-A-M, for those of us old enough to ...

Re: Dartford v Welling Sat 1 Nov 2025

Well done to the Darts on continuing their current run.

I would also like to take this opportunity from afar to say well done to Riley Finch as well, and congratulate him on taking over the match commentaries from Will Bass this season. Certainly enjoy listening to them. Many thanks Riley.

Re: Dartford v Potters Bar Town Sat 18 Oct 2025

Sounded from the commentary like another very deserved 3 points, in spite of conceding an early goal from a foul that wasn't a foul!! A good fightback. That was one for the Duke, which he would have enjoyed!!

Let's keep this run going.

Re: Goodbye Dave

It was very sad to hear of Dave's passing. I knew of him, but never directly spoke with him.
He did amuse me with his spellings of Odaudu and I changed the forum to use his 3 spellings to the correct name.

Re: Goodbye Dave

Always made a point of chatting with Dave, Trevor and Matt, over the years following our beloved Darts, still remember the banter on the forum too. We all bought Puredfc polo's and met each other all those years ago, those days of collections and auctions which helped in a way keep the club going ...

Re: Goodbye Dave

Absolutely devastated to receive this news yesterday from Jonty as I was in my local club watching the Liverpool v Everton derby in my local social club up on Merseyside. What timing!! as Duke often said he enjoyed watching Liverpool and their style of play.

It was through Trevor B,(we were both ...

Re: FA Cup 1st qualifying round - Bracknell Town v Dartford Sat 30 Aug 2025 @ 18:30

Thank you to Riley Finch. Guessing he was standing in for Will Bass tonight. Also guessing he was working under dire conditions, with a lot of interference and I'm sure I heard him say poor signal strength as an aside when trying to get some info late in the game. A lot of background conversation ...

Re: FA Cup 1st qualifying round - Bracknell Town v Dartford Sat 30 Aug 2025 @ 18:30

Hoping for a positive outcome, as I do look forward to an FA Cup run for the club, but they've been a bit thin on the ground in recent seasons. Is this the year?

Safe journey for travelling fans. Enjoy the game.
