Re: DFC Player updates 26/27

Agreed, he speaks very well and confidently and leads to optimism for the season ahead. Let's hope we do hear about those near forward signings this week.

Also a positive interview with Dan Smith that I came across on the club website.

Re: Isthmian Premier League constitution 26/27 (subject to ratification)

So Chichester moved out to allow 5 promoted sides in, which makes sense when you look at a map. Also a team we've not had a great record against.

Re: Ady Departs

Agree with you Pete, after 65 seasons following the Darts I've seen more disappointments than successes and yet we have to remain optimistic and enjoy the good moments, otherwise what's the point? I've watched a few games at my local non-league teams, Matlock Town and Buxton and enjoyed watching ...

Was half tempted to travel down as its one of the nearer venues for me, but glad I didn't. Maybe I should stick to Marlock Town or Buxton. So sad.

Re: Burgess Hill Town v Dartford Sat 24 Jan 2026

Thanks for the one bright spot of the afternoon Kev.
Been hoping for a bit of consistency and positivity to justify traveling down, but it's looking not to be again. At least I enjoyed a local footie fix with Matlock Town bearing Blyth Spartans

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

Popped over to watch Buxton v Chatham in the F A Cup. The few hundred vocal Chats supporters should be proud of their team's spirited effort, with a tight passing game and lots of possession on the plastic pitch, but not many clear attempts on goal, apart from a fine strike to take a deserved lead ...

Re: Velocity Cup 25/26

I was curious too, hoping for at least one small cup run. The draw shows 16 matches so I guess that's the final number of matches to compete the knock out stages. It looks like there are 7 Premier teams not taking part.
Would have been nice to know. Maybe one less humiliating defeat though!

Re: Kent Senior Cup - 1st Round - Erith Town v Dartford Tue 23 Sep 2025 @ 19:45pm

Agree completely Paul. When we moved here 2 years ago we'd just finished a season where we could have been promoted via playoffs to play Chesterfield 12 miles down the road. Then we went into free fall and now 3 leagues apart instead of one. Not impossible to be 5 apart after this season.
So sad ...

Re: FA Trophy

F A results suggest they played last round at Potters Bar. Didn't think their new ground was ready yet.
Previous round they beat Ware 5-1 away.

Re: Best app for live scores?

I generally find that Live Ticker on the Isthmian League website provides quick and accurate updates to scores, yellow and red cards as they happen for all of their matches and leagues.
Otherwise Flashscore as others have suggested.

Desperately looking for positives, I sees that the 4 teams below us all lost, so we stay just outside the relegation spots! And we have the F A Cup Draw on Monday (I assume) to distract us for a few days from the massively disappointing start to the league campaign. It's got to get better!

Positive intent with 3 strikers. Nervous anticipation as we start my 65th season following the Darts with a little more optimism than some of the recent ones. We'll soon find out.

Up the Darts!

Enfield in Southern League Central so a step down, or Enfield Town in National South so a step up from last season. Suspect its the latter.

Getting up in Vanvouver to cheer us on over breakfast. Could we be heading off to Torquay and maybe Dag & Red next season or be left with the delights of Brentwood, Burgess Hill and maybe Uxbridge!
Come on you Darts!

Re: Dartford v Carshalton Athletic Sat 26 Apr 2025

Little to add; a poor first half as it was v. Folkestone, but quite a good stirring comeback with subs looking to impress. A well worked goal for George (who scored in all 3 games I've seen this season) and it looked like an equaliser from where we stood, but guess it must have gone wide or ...

Re: Cray Wanderers v Dartford Mon 21 Apr 2025

Hugely disappointing having been champions for about 8 minutes. So it comes down to goal difference but to be joint top on points is still quite amazing considering where we were in mid-November, 12th and 14 pts behind Dover (yet Horsham were 15th then).
Train was already booked for Saturday, so ...
