Re: Welling Utd v Dartford Sat 28 Feb 2026

I was initially angry that I missed almost ten minutes standing on the pavement in a slow moving queue after the 96 route suffered a blip and two eventually arrived together. However, I now realise that I did not miss anything. The traffic was probably more entertaining. Sadly, I think Welling must ...

Re: Potters Bar Town v Dartford Sat 14 Feb 2026

Before today, Potters Bar had conceded forty goals in fifteen league matches at home. Canvey Island are the only other away team that has failed to score in a league match against them at their own ground.

We started with two of our best players on the bench and a loan player making his debut on ...

I think he was showing solidarity with his forwards. He actually threw it at me. I was standing on the touchline in line with the penalty area.

Re: Dartford v Brentwood Town Sat 31 Jan 2026

Spike has made a very good brief description of how we got where we are. The circumstances surrounding the loss of Watling Street remain a source of frustration to this day to some of us as those responsible were never held to account.

Circumstances this time are a little different as the club does ...

Re: Dartford v Brentwood Town Sat 31 Jan 2026

Quick post as heading to ther pub. Great to win so late in the game against opponents who spent the match conning and controlling the ref. Whilst I am pleased for Eddie to get the headline, the ball was served on a silver platter and he only had the keeper to beat. Carter, or whoever it was, ran out ...

Re: Dartford v Brentwood Town Sat 31 Jan 2026

Surely he can come out with Brentwood at the start of the match as their mascot. That would give Dartford fans the chance to show their appreciation and him a chance to experience that walk out at PP for, perhaps, one last time.

No favours once the match starts, though.

Re: Burgess Hill Town v Dartford Sat 24 Jan 2026

What a seriously disappointing result today. Playing against the third worst defence in the league and with an extra player for more than 30 minutes. We need to find somebody within our squad that can score goals on a regular basis, or we need to recruit one PDQ. It is already beginning to look as ...

Re: Dartford v Aveley Sat 17 Jan 2026

It makes a change for an away team to moan about a ref being assessed at a PP game. We usually appear to bear the brunt of performances for the assessor. Perhaps we make the assessors experience too enjoyable and that is the reason they keep coming back to PP. I would hope that they have to assess ...

Not at the match tonight, but why are six minutes being added to matches at this level. Was there a lot if VAR controversy?

The ground in Dartford park was very hard this morning. I fear that the game might not go ahead today.

Re: Chatham Town v Dartford Sat 27 Dec 2025

What a funny old afternoon. Gave the turnstile guy a £20 note and he gave me a tenner change. Christmas must have aged me this year. Must be the mother-in-law.

Good turnout from Dartford. Thought there were 2,000 in the ground. The bar must have hidden a lot throughout the game or there must be a ...

Re: Chatham Town v Dartford Sat 27 Dec 2025

I dislike plastic pitch football, but I have not seen a 'Boxing Day' match in years due to family commitments. The format change gives me the opportunity this year. I hope our team adapt to the fake surface better than they did at Ramsgate or Cray, the last two matches that I attended where grass ...

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sat 20 Dec 2025

Disappointed with the very unfestive welcome at the car park end at 2:40 this afternoon. The high vis decided that he would search my sons, 22 and 19, even though they were clearly attending the match with their old dad. The Dartford shirt and scarf might have suggested that we were home fans and I ...

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sat 20 Dec 2025

Very flat performance from the Darts today in a match that hinged on the penalty save. Had we gone one down, I think that it would have been match over. The save woke the crowd from its slumbers and the team eventually put together a few small passages of play in the second half when they managed to ...

Re: FA Cup 3rd rnd v London Bees, Sunday 14th December k-off 1pm

Back from an extended afternoon at PP where Dartford sadly departed the FA Cup.

That one teams plays one level higher than the other in the league structure was not evident from the football on display. Normally, you would expect the underdog to revert to badgering the referee and to the 'dark ...
