So it’s more than likely that Henley was told he’d a number 2 goalkeeper this season and feels he can still be a regular starter elsewhere. Ryan was very good for the few games he played for us before. Hopefully hits the ground running with a settled defence in front of him

If i remember correctly he came to us after injury and played so well Crawley signed him.

From memory Dowse brought him in after he had a really bad injury. Played a handful of games for us and looked good in all of them and quickly got snapped up by someone, I think that’s when he went to Crawley

Well, I suppose if PL rates him it's probably a good signing. But in all my drinking years I can't say I remember him.

Good to have Ryan back, one of Dowse's better signings. I can only assume that Ben feels that Ryan will be a better fit for the new playing out from the back style.

Rambo, your views on here are normally adroit. Henly had a mountain to climb in order to undo his poor start and to his credit, he did manage to get most of the fans back on side eventually. Olurewaju was a walking red card and a dubious captain. Why Jones was so much less effective than the previous season is still a head-scratcher.
One of our biggest problems last season was losing Carruthers and our manager not knowing the extent of the injury (or lying about it). I personally lost faith in Pennock after that particular debacle.

Thanks DA M I agree with virtually everything you have said including the improvement in Jonny as the season developed however I was never happy with his positioning and I would hate to see him have another drop in form that would inevitable affect everyone around him. Sadly I cannot remember the new keeper playing for us but I remember his name and hopefully he will hit the ground running
