Shocking🤦🏻‍♂️ Where’s our ambition?
I was desperately hanging on to something positive. 🤦‍♂️

Not at the match tonight, but why are six minutes being added to matches at this level. Was there a lot if VAR controversy?

Every game is a struggle, even when we do win it’s by the odd goal. Saying that, we don’t generally get beaten too heavily hence our poor goal difference that Rambo pointed out. I still think we will clinch that final play off place but I can’t help thinking that should we fail to go up this season we will lose all our best young players come seasons end.

To take the lead twice with a couple of decent goals but then let it slip is so frustrating.
But in all honesty it was another hustle & bustle game without much quality and probably a fair result.
I predicted it would end 2-2 shortly after we took the lead for the second time as i never thought we had control of the game, unfortunately this proved to be the case and even more disappointing as i didn't think they were a good side. We lack game management and a few players who now how to see games like this out.

Attendance was 290 so a shout out to the large contingent of Darts fans who made the trip tonight, supported the team throughout on a cold damp uninspiring evening.

To finish on a positive we're back in the play off spots with 41 pts, which pretty much guarantees our apparent aim of "survival" in this division.
But if we stay in the play off spots it would apparently be an "amazing" achievement.

So well done everyone, mission accomplished........

Sorry mate, I know there’s a hint of sarcasm here clearly, but has this been said by anyone. You’re not the type to mince your words but you’re always constructively respectful.

Where has the survival comment been said or alluded from. Genuine question because if that’s the case it’s a shocker to me.

Came from our manager. Somewhere along the lines of “playoffs would be a huge achievement, survival was the aim at the start of the season”. Also last season, a member of the board told Ady to just survive, anything else is a bonus.

I believe it’s from a recent interview with Pennock.

"The League is going to be tight behind Folkestone I think; our aim and some people laugh when I have said before, our aim this year was to survive in the League. That is our first and foremost aim in the League and if we can get in the play-offs again this season, it would be an absolutely fantastic achievement from everybody at the Football Club."

And that shows the true level of ambition within the club. Absolute disgrace if these comments are being made either by the Manager or the Board members :o

Thank you for the replies. I am currently trying to control my emotion before I post again. I know this is not news to most of you but I’ve clearly missed this and I’m stunned.

Not at the game last night so my thanks go to Kev( KST Dart) for his posting of our two goals.
I was following on the radio nearing to half time and also when we reached the 90 minutes and in both cases we failed to keep a clean sheet so I am assuming that as suggested we switched off a couple of minutes into the add-on time in the first half and made an error for the equalizer. :(
So come the 90 minutes I was still worried and low & behold around 6 minutes into the extra time added on, was it another error or not ?
Hopefully there may be highlights answering this for me :( :x

Pennock watching the game from the opposite side to the dugout, I’m sure it made sense to him somehow.
Abysmal subs and game management.
Barely any effort from the players to come over at the end.
If the social side of supporting this club wasn’t as good as it is then i wouldn’t bother.
Thought the first eze to wear the shirt this season was bad, the latest is even worse.
Samir couldn’t even be bothered to warm up.
On the contrary, I thought a lot of the players did come over at the end of the game. Most fans were on their way out by then

Another recent quote from Pennock is that we “massively overachieved” last season. Sorry, but DFC failing in the playoffs is tantamount to getting out of bed for most people!

Having gone from doing the double over Luton Town and being the 2nd highest placed team in Kent (behind Gillingham), to being reduced to celebrating throwing away a lead in the dying moments and scraping a 2-2 draw against a keyboard symbol, it's hard to deny we are on a downward spiral. I wish Ady wouldn't remind me of this with such demoralising statements about survival and comments about making the play-offs being "amazing". I realise that Tony Burman's achievements were incredible and he definitely had us punching above our weight, but there's no doubt in my mind that this club should easily be capable of challenging at the top of the NLS (as we had done for several years before the side was Dowsed). If Ade is correct and our budget is so poor, I assume he knew that when he took the job so I wonder why he did. Although he did a very good job last season and proved that the budget WAS only a whisker away from winning the league. That being the case, I would have thought that made us one of the favourites for promotion this term, and certainly not something that would be considered "amazing". Even if Ade is right, the message that this sends to the supporters is demoralising to say the least. I would rather here comments about our exciting young side being up for the challenge of promotion than hear reaons why we are likely to fail. If this lack of ambition is what we can expect for the foreseable future then I have to ask what is our board of directors doing to fix this? Obviously, I already know the answer.
