Good win. We are looking good. But we've left it so late. The mathematics are we needvtwo wins and Chatham to lose one.

Too late in my opinion. Chichester is no gimme either. Sixth it is and we go again. Hopefully with an entirely new management set up. Proven winners with some f*cking grit! MOTM - can I still vote for Jacob Marsden? 😂

I am not a gambling man but it is looking like another season in this ryman premier.

We have done ok with the squad that we have
but I just don't see us getting out of this league unless there is more investment

Tin hot on ...but that is how I see it!!

An easy as you like win for Dartford and it could have been a lot more if it had not been for former Dart Jacob Marsden .
I have never seen a player so emotional playing against his former side . He told Dartford fans he never wanted to leave , joined in signing songs and burst into tears at full time . All this while still being totally professional between the sticks

Add him to the MOTM , he deserves it .

Callum Jones opens the scoring for Dartford v Canvey Island

Ollie Box scores Dartford’s 2nd v Canvey Island

Callum Jones scores Dartford’s 3rd v Canvey Island

Eddie Dsane scores Dartford’s 4th v Canvey Island

It was pretty clear after the first 5-10 minutes we were going to win, it was just by how many.
They looked like a relegated team and didnt cause us any problems all game but the lads did the job required and all we can do is keep winning and hope the others slip up.

On to Chichester....

A good win today and so it should have been. We have to keep the pressure on the two above. But it seems each club knows what it needs as we do.
We can't fault the lads for effort.
Well played the lads.

Listening to Roland and have to agree with him about the playing surface. I was watching Jonny warming up before the game and they were not happy . They were picking up huge sharpe stones from inside the goalmouth which was like concrete. The pitch is obviously not being properly maintained

But it also says their highest attendance was 1661 vs Dulwich Hamlet in 2016.

Some sources (e.g., Wikipedia) indicate higher potential capacity (up to 3,000 in some reports), but 1,000 to 1,500 is the commonly cited figure for current operational capacity.
That figure of 1,661 was the attendance for the 2015/16 East Thurrock United v Dulwich Hamlet play off final. The Brentwood v Dulwich league fixture the same season (Brentwood's only previous season at Step 3) had an attendance of 222 on a Tuesday evening in April 2016.

If Brentwood haven't achieved the 1,950 capacity plus the rest of the Step 3 grading requirements by 31st March this year they will be demoted back to Step 4, never mind excluded from the play-offs. I'll be amazed if they don't tick all the boxes, as the ground looks no more basic to me than Cheshunt was when they were promoted to National South 4 years ago. (Cheshunt did a lot of work to hit the Step 2 grading by 31st March of what turned out to be their only season at that level, as Brentwood will need to should they go up.) There's a standard formula for calculating standing capacity using a surveyor's tape measure and excluding areas needed for access and exit. Having lots of terracing means better sightlines for more spectators, but doesn't necessarily mean a significantly larger capacity than somewhere with lots of flat open space.

A formal capacity is no longer required at step 3, so as long as they meet the other ground requirements, Brentwood don’t have to worry about demotion.

However, clubs are still expected to aim for 1,950 minimum, which is why it is a requirement for promotion to step 2 immediately, not by 31st March next year

Good point about the capacity, PP. Do you know if the capacity can only include hard standing area and NOT grass?

With the reaction of Jacob Marsden at the game on Saturday and the speed with which he was let go at the end of last season. Plus the emergence of Jonny Henley coming into the squad. One has to ask, did Dfc get wind of Henley coming to the club?
Personally, Marsden got better as the season went on and I was very surprised that he 'left'.
The thing is now, will Henley stay should we not get promoted? Of course, if we did get promoted, will he stay?
In my opinion, two good keepers, but Henley has had his critics this season.
Perhaps if Jonny goes in the summer, we know where there is a good keeper.
