Not sure about this game but i don't think we have a media team at all the games and i believe that's why some non video interviews are done after.WillDfc42 wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 10:20 am Wonder why Pennock never does a video interview after a loss?
Let's not write the obituary for this season just yet. We've shown we can perform in the big games, so, as others have said, let's get a spot in the play-offs (which we are currently in) and see what happens.rambo wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 5:54 pm Promotion this season is unlikely so Ade should ask himself why we are in this position and put together a blueprint for next season. I suggest he brings some width into our game. We need goals and excitement which will attract more fans into the stadium and real atmosphere. We hate boredom.
Absolutely, which is why Ade’s focus should be this season and the board’s focus should be making the club attractive to play forozymandias wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 11:38 am I think that there would be a big turn over of players next season should we not get promotion or even a play 0ff spot. Many players from last season pledged their loyalty to the club in the summer. Which we were grateful for, but maybe we will lose a few of our better players this summer, should approaches be made. And who can blame them.
It would be a disaster if the three academy lads that have made a big impact since breaking into the first team should up sticks and go.

Making the club attractive to prospective players and fans is the board's job (Which is a whole other kettle of fish - As someone with not much insight into the club's condition behind the scenes, I don't know who on this forum to believe)
Only flaw in that is: the only people who care enough to come to an event like that… is already a fan. But there is potential for club to be present in the community, such as player meet & greet in the town centre or going into primary schools & offering free kids tickets, etc.KentC wrote: Tue Jan 27, 2026 12:39 pmDart of Herts wrote: Mon Jan 26, 2026 9:25 pmLet's not write the obituary for this season just yet. In the point of making the club more attractive for fans, there’s obviously a lot to it, many layers of different things, but here’s one that disappointed me.
I will give the club credit around trying to improve the match day experience, I use the word try, I think some things have worked and some not, at least they were being proactive.
Around 18 months ago there was a call by the club for a fans focus group, with the idea to brainstorm how to improve the match day experience. The idea is you have ordinary supporters from outside the club to meet with an official and have the group brainstorm, create ideas for the club and take it from there. They were normally around 6-630 so always tight with work etc.
There was two that I’m aware of, I think there was I third one that I couldn’t attend, but if there was anymore then I wasn’t invited back. On these meetings there were 4 of us, I’m sure any others would like to of attended who signed up but probably couldnt. Of us 4 the other 3 knew each other, knew the club representative and all got on great. It was only me from outside that DFC group. I left disappointed that we’re not reaching out to the community for these focus groups and meetings , it seemed a little too in house again. Credit to the club, they have tried some of the things suggested , but I feel we really need to properly reach out. Not four of us sitting in a freezing dingy room with not even a tea or coffee.
Get the community in. Treat it like an event and go outsthe club. Outside the club!
People may disagree with this, thats fine, but surely we need to be proactive reaching out to this massive footballing community more.

The fans focus groups aren’t gonna be the be all and end all, but it encourages dialogue and gives fringe fans (like ourselves) a chance to get a bit more involved
