Can you help please
Since the early days of this site Gary and until now I have never had a problem but now I am quite often getting the following come up.
I can click in and out a couple of times and it usually goes away but then it can come back up as I am searching different topics.
This is the second attempt to send this message but the following keeps appearing when sending as a private message
The computer is working fine it is just this problem keeps coming and going.

At 78 and totally hopeless when it comes to I.T it is nice to know it was not just me

I spoke to Rick about this the other day and apparently the site is getting bombarded with visits from China, Singapore etc.....
Normal visis per week around 10,000 but currently he's getting 2 MILLION.....so the site is getting saturated and giving this error.
He is trying to sort out (hopefully they'll just go away) but other than that just keep refreshing the screen.

Same here. I just put it down to Rick being ‘busy’ in the background. Interesting that the Chinese are into him. What’s he done now?

I am no keyboard warrior but thanks lads for explaining why there is a small problem with the website.
I shall persevere now that I know that it is not something that I have buggered up.

yes im getting this all day today aswell....but why would we be getting so many visits from all these other countries....bit concerning reallyy....

Happens all the time, idiots from around the globe with nothing better to do flooding sites with traffic in order to break them.

I had a problem a few years ago with China. Being an open forum, anyone can view posts. Have to be registered to post, but to read it's a free for all.

If you look at the page views for "Dartford Players of The Past" and "News from around the National League South". They are over 4 million. You really think over 4 million people are interested in those topics?

This time they don't seem to be looking at topics, else the figures would be higher.

See if the change I mentioned in the Members Only section works in the next 24 hours.
