Re: Dartford v Welling Sat 1 Nov 2025

The highlights never give you the true reflection of the game and even in the first half we still had the better opportunities. Welling did put a big shift in the first half but it was clear that towards the end of the first half that the pace of game was beginning to catch up with them and it was ...

Re: Dartford v Welling Sat 1 Nov 2025

There is a long way to go yet in this game. We have had the majority of the ball but our opponents look dangerous on the break. Their keeper is also having a blinder, making one exceptional save. Much harder than the one we conceded.

Re: Dartford v Whitehawk Tue 14 Oct 2025

I was gutted when SK left the club but equally if he was at the helm today you wouldn't see any academy players in the first team and we would be back to a revolving door policy driven by agents.

Re: Dartford v Whitehawk Tue 14 Oct 2025

What a great performance that was, it was reminiscent of the Hastings away game last season, which kick started our season. With Olly winning the MoM and a new midfielder coming in on loan and the performance to boot it was an enjoyable evening, just a shame about the low attendance. I thought Jacob ...

Whether you like the guy or not, you cannot criticise his passion for the job. Plus, he has also won trophies as a manager!

Re: FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

The season that just keeps giving, letting in late goals, hoofball footy, poor player recruitment and early cup exits. You can’t blame it all on injuries/suspensions or even the budget as it was increased with all the new sponsorship. Great work has taken place off the pitch from the boardroom and ...

Re: Goodbye Dave

I understand that Dukes’s family have been invited to attend Saturdays game by the club and have agreed. What a great gesture by the club and I will be trying desperately to get there in time from holiday.

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

I see that Femi Akinwandi has left Billericay, doesn’t say where he’s gone to now.

I would imagine that Danny Scopes is clearing out the dead wood and bringing in players that he wants. It will be interesting to see whether DS will be successful with a budget instead of having to see all his ...

Re: Kent Senior Cup - 1st Round - Erith Town v Dartford Tue 23 Sep 2025 @ 19:45pm

Thanks for the updates PL. I know it’s only the Kent Senior Cup but that result is disappointing. With teams above us in the league winning tonight means that we desperately need to start picking up points ASAP before those playoffs are out of reach as well.

Re: News from around the National League South

I see that Tonbridge have sacked their manager, even though they are on a good run of late. They won their FA Cup replay during the week and beat Worthing away Saturday. Sophie Purves hasn’t hung around, she has bought in Alan Dunne the ex Millwall player as new manager.

Re: Goodbye Dave

What an incredibly nice guy Dave was. I had met with him on several occasions recently, the last time was last Wednesday before I went on holiday. It was always an enjoyable/eventful day out with Duke, especially listening to all of his old stories of life on the road as a salesman. He loved ...

Re: Aveley v Dartford Sat 20 Sep 2025

Thanks for the updates today PL from a very cold and wet Cairn Gorm & Aviemore. Not the result I wanted to hear but one I half expected with that lineup. I can’t believe that we’ve had a two week break and not got any players back or bought anyone in. With only seven games gone we are a whopping 15 ...

Re: So where do we go from here?

There's a song in there somewhere.

Is it down to the lake I fear?
Ay ay ay ay ay ah
Ay ay ay ay ay ah

In all seriousness, there is still so much to play for and the board have done an amazing job over the summer on the commercial front. Just a shame that this is not being reflected on the playing ...

We have been the better team but trailing at the break. We have had quite a few opportunities but failed to hit the target or taken an extra touch. Still all to play for.

LS, that’s because I couldn’t find any suitable characters. However, I have just had another attempt. M💩i🚽stone.
