It's the FA Cup BB, I don't recall EVER having reduced prices for an FA Cup game even if it was against lower ranked opposition, which Marlow are not. They are at the same level in the pyramid as we are, albeit they've had a poor start and we've done really well. We all have great expectations and the club has to provide Ady with a budget that at least gives the man a fair chance. Personally I would be very surprised if there was a price cut.

I remember going to Maidenhead utd some years ago and Dave Tarpey tore our defence apart, I think he scored a hattrick including one where he chipped the ball over Ronnie Vint's head before scoring, I believe he finally got a move to League football but was injured and never fully recovered. He must be getting on age wise.

I think the home team can only reduce ticket prices in agreement with the away team as they receive a percentage of the gate receipts.

I think that's correct Skip.
Doesn't each team get 45% and the FA 10% so presume the FA would have to agree as well??

The majority of but not all clubs across the FA cup reduce prices including league and premier league teams. They also get communities engaged and excited it’s FA Cup day etc.

With so much money at the top level in football, Premier League survival ranks way ahead of FA Cup success. Sadly, it is no longer the competition that it once was although it still generates an element of excitement amongst the lover levels of non-league clubs. On the basis of the split of gate proceeds, we will probably face a possible financial loss from the match today unless we win through to the next round. We are probably loking at a sub-800 gate on the basis of season ticket holders having to pay today.

The First Round and the chance to play against a league side looks a long way away right now. It is likely that the desire to see Dartford beat a league team in the cup will have to wait for yet another year. What is one more year on top of the fifty waited to date?

Good luck Darts!

The other factor is that Dartford have to pay VAT on ticket sales unlike a lot of other clubs at our level, due to the fact that our revenue is greater than the threshold. Looks like the threshold is £660,000 these days. I remember Jeremy talk on this subject a few years back. The bottom line is that Dartford FC cost a damn lot more to run as a football club than other clubs at our level and below.

Looking forward to todays game and have happily purchased my £15 ticket ;)

Might go and have something to eat in "The Darts Grill" now run by the club or either the NEW Pizza or Gyro/Wrap outlets ;) ;)

Then stroll round to the NEW season ticket holders bar for a pint, possibly stopping on the way in the NEW sweet shop, also now run by DFC ;) ;) ;)

So many choices now ;) ;) ;) ;)

I believe the upstairs bar does food as well now but i won't go in there as Micky Austin will try and sell me 10 horses for the race night

Seems years ago now the last time we made the first round proper and faced league oppo either home or away! Would be a good money spinner for the club to get there this year and some bumper crowds along the way if the draw does us a favour.

Today is the starting point I can’t face another defeat like the previous couple of seasons at the first attempt 🤪

Fingers crossed COYD’s
