Needed a response from Saturday and we got one. Fair result between two teams that’ll be challenging again for the title imho. Ref made some very good decisions and some very poor ones too - a tad inconsistent across 90 minutes - but we weren’t there to watch him!

At it, properly, first half and could, as many have said, been more goals to the better. Couldn’t quite match the tempo in the second half but credit to them they switched their shape and that put considerable pressure on us.

Right wing back has been a problem to us in Sam Okoye’s absence and I thought Luther Williams was superb there last night - my MoM. Mention also to Jez Pinder who was quick and strong and also, of course, Sam Smith. Defence needed to be on their game second half.

Slightly concerned that, this being only the second occasion I’ve been to a game at PP since the end of last season that little disturbances in our end are becoming a little too frequent. Not sure what caused that last night towards the end of the game - one or two of the stewards came under criticism for their handling of it.

Henly was a world apart from Saturday. He doesn’t seem to like playing out from the back and has an almighty distance on his kicking. We will score a couple of route one goals from that this season. Smith & Jones may be too similar up front together and the Carruthers situation is a worry, but last night showcased some good individual play totally absent in our first game.
Billericay did not present the threat I expected. Dulwich were way more dangerous on attack and also had bigger defenders, stark contrast to our youthful, ‘footballing’ defence. Once our injury list dissipates allowing Ady to field his strongest XI with some regularity, we will see some good results. Just hope that doesn’t take too long.

Sam Smith becoming a permanent fixture?? Cemented.
Some odd decisions last night and a few damnright strange.
Hung on for a point by defending well but we couldn't get the ball out of our half at times. But as said, should have been well ahead at half time with them scoring to make it respectable.
My motm Jeremiah Pinder.

A worrying second half as we cling on for the point in the end. Someone said to me on the way out about the stamping incident which I didn't see. The ref was flourishing cards in a frantic first half, of which the last twenty minutes we had them defensively in a panic.
Thought that Ben Frempah had a good game as he is getting stick for twice getting himself sent off (in debatable circumstances). Sam Smith had a great game as did Jeremiah and George.
We struggled yes, but the signs are there that maybe the DH game was just a first match shambles and that we are beginning to gel and looking positive.
Hopefully we can carry it on on Saturday.

Thought that Denzelle was looking his old self late on in the game. We need that to happen as he was great for us last season.

Not sure i can be as positive...Olly Box's goal was fortunate it fell on his foot in the box as Billericay has a bad 20 mins of defending. Last year we beat them 4-0 at home and we currently aren't creating any real chances and not sure where any goals are coming from ...worried we are gonna score less goals than last year atm.

Billericay we're all over us second half we look midtable at best.

Hoping the manager changes sometime ...we dont look like we have improved from last season atm.

Hope you didn't mean the last sentence in your post Dartford Knight as everyone is reading it the wrong way.

We were so lucky to gain our first point, thought they were by far better in movement had some nippy players just going past ours. They will be up there very concerned about our style of play and lack of creation we just didn't raise a threat second half and we were the Home Team.

He probably means ‘something’ rather than some time. 🤔

It’s hard to give a negative opinion when I wasn’t at the game to judge for myself, but I’m a little concerned. Imagine if we win at Stalbans, you could say we’re back on track. Never had anything but a difficult game there though. Too early to overreact but definitely concerned about the performances so far. Yes it’s two games, yes we were very good in the first half but a good start to the campaign is always crucial.

I some times wonder if Ade is too nice. In my opinion he's probably the best manager we've had in a long time, He's honest and tells it how it is. He's not worried about what the supporter thinks of him or the team. He just get's on with it and stands by his players.
St Albans are a big game for us. Not an easy one and I feel we, as supporters do the worrying. He never let's anything phase him and get's on with the game.
Personally, I like him a lot.
I said this last season that I am enjoying my games again, those that I see. Nothing has changed. Although last night was a hard watch.
Billericay will be up there again at the end of this season.
But we won't be far behind, if we are behind.

Did the ref edit the match highlights.

Whilst at the game, I felt that we had probably scored a second goal when the keeper stopped the ball whilst well behind his goal line. I also felt that the keeper had stamped on a Dartford player laying prone on the floor, sparking a free-for-all involving the twenty-one players still on their feet and a number of club representatives and/or substitutes that had been sat on the benches. Even the linesman saw the incident that somehow the ref deemed a yellow card offence after writing his life story in his notebook.

Either the highlights have been sanitised or I am going ga-ga.

Baghdad billy had the video of the keeper well inside the goal holding the ball. Share it BB.
