Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
I'm expecting this one to be a one-sided affair with a great opportunity to ramp up the goal difference before Ebbsfleet United's new investors get their feet under the table.
I haven't planned to travel for this one just incase Ebbsfleet Women do a Haywards Heath on us.
And like last season I wouldn't trust Petts Prize Jabs to make a fair decision on the outcome either.

Don't bother anyway... We were moaning about the Event booked - Away Bracknell - Style for the Men's FACup Tie. So, DFC happily pre - booked a David Lloyd's Charity Event on the main pitch, KO at 4.00pm this Sunday!
A 1.00pm KO curtain raiser of a DFC Women's League Derby fixture v Ebbsfleet wasn't obviously thought to have been attractive enough for a pre - charity Love Island crowd...
We can now only wish for our DFC Women to pass through the maximum of FACup ties tests successfully, to prove yet again that with full recognition and investments our Women Squad, can prove to be a financial Godsend, to our club.
Alas, our DFC Men haven't managed that, for many a season!

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
What a disgrace. This charity match had been planned for ages. Cancelling the women's Kent derby at such short notice isn't good enough. Also I've seen nothing on social media apart from a brief post by Dartford FC on Facebook (not the women's page) basically stating the match has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. I immediately replied to it and the whole thing was removed. The nearest hint there is no game can be found on the fixture list on the club's official website with the next game being Millwall Lionesses away. No mention of this weekend's postponed fixture. Like an Orwellian novel it was like the fixture had never existed at all.
The lack of information this late in day will mean there will still be people turning up not realising the game is off.
This is was an important match for our ladies with a chance to ramp up their goal difference against a weakened Ebbsfleet side before their new investors get their feet under the table.
Once again the women's team has been badly let down by their own club's administration and it's misogynistic attitude. The celebs match doesn't kick off until 4pm so what's the problem anyway? What made the club cave in at the last minute? Although I'm not surprised. After all they really went for the FA big time after the League Cup Final debacle didn't they. I'm sure Fulham were quaking in their boots.
And we still haven't got a bloody engraved trophy for retaining it either.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
It's now just past 10:45 pm on Friday night. Still nothing on the club website, twitter or Facebook. Neither notification of postponement on the London & South East Regional League's site or Ebbsfleet's come to that.
So as far as those not in the know are concerned, who are planning to travel to Princes Park, they have no reason to believe the game has been cancelled. What do the office staff do all day? If anyone calls the club they rarely answer the phone. No wonder the club allegedly has no money. There are areas where money could be saved within the club for starters. I wonder what the old time and motion bods would have made of it all.
Posters and fixtures still up. No communication. When I hear people not involved with the club tell me they are shocked to see Dartford back in the Isthmian League, I casually reply that I'm not in the least surprised.
A year ago there was a documentary on Horsham on how to run a football club. They bascically do everything DFC don't. And look where they are now. And they've treated their fans to a few decent cup games recently. While Dartord have been on the wrong end of early cup exit shocks for years to the likes of Beckenham, Bracknell, Kingstonian, Sudbury and Uxbridge.
And in the absence of an investor coming in with a new broom I can't see things getting any better.

Saturday 5:20 am. It looks like game on according to Twitter, Facebook and even the DFC website where the fixture is now back up followed by Millwall, Saltdean.......
And still no mention of the postponement on the women's FA website.

Right. Still nothing on Facebook including the club's own page which has been updating this morning about today's game with Canvey Island. Ebbsfleet poster still up on our ladies Twitter X too.
The FA have not been informed of any cancellation with the L&SERL this morning confirming the team sheets alongside the existing confirmation of the venue being played on the main pitch at Princes Park ko 1pm.
If a statement from the club of a postponement is iminent it will now be issued later than Fulham's public declaration of their withdrawal from the League Cup Final.
So on that note I can only assume the game is going ahead.
And I've just seen a drop down message from WhatsApp.
It's my friend from Maidstone enquiring if the game is on or not tomorrow.
Who knows? I daren't say yes incase he's thinking of making a quite possibly wasted trip.
Although I guess he could always send the club the bill for the fuel.

Boy oh boy... 'sounds like you've had a sleepless night, over this on / off fixture and providing your own concise and informative communication... 24 - hour news?
I'd love to be an Autograph hunter at the Charity Love Island event, hosted by DFC and David Lloyd Gym tomorrow. However, I won't know of any fake fame!
Moreover, hardly the season's started, we now have a charity event on the main pitch, which was meant to be strictly protected for official fixtures, due to multi - usage, by Halls, Charlton u-23 and both our DFC Women / Men.
We'll be cheering on our Men, for the much - needed 3 points later on but we can't do the same for our Women tomorrow v Ebbsfleet, especially in full flow, after 3 straight wins...
Or can we???

No-one's even bothering to answer the phone on a Saturday morning 11 o'clock. Brilliant stuff.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
Some people have been right all along. We have a two-tier football club. Despite the denials. It's as plain as the balls on a dog, there for everyone to see. If the club don't want a women's team, why not grow a pair and say so? Why set up a girl's academy if the club is (seemingly) driving the senior women's team out? Who, as we all know, are far more successful than the "first team" men.
Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
"Due to unforseen circumstances" is a blatant lie. Someone needs to be held accountable for this fixture not going ahead. Dartford FC are a laughing stock.
Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
Amateur football club run by amateur people and fans ask why DFC is trailing way behind other smaller clubs. DFC still living off past successes.
It's on, its off, totally farce. How, not to run a football club !

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
Well said Lol - EXACTLY
I shall be expecting the nastiness that always comes my way when I bring up a point of sheer amateurism in the club. The rudeness NO THANKS for people who have purchased season tickets & given extra as a donation. NOT EVEN A THANK YOU from the Club.
I can only assume (as it's not exactly a transparent club) - perhaps a double-booking of the pitch for Sunday? Who Knows.
But the Dartford FC Women's team have come off second-best. All the girls want to do is go and win football matches. The Club need to treat them with more respect.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
I could well and truely be wrong here but I’m guessing that the charity game would’ve been booked in well in advance of the ladies fixtures being released so it’s unfortunate that this game was drawn at home on the same date.
I may also be wrong but wouldn’t the club need to inform the league of any dates that the pitch wouldn’t be available to avoid a home game being arranged
.
Why couldn’t the ladies game have been arranged to be played on the 5G pitch if it was going to be an issue as they used to play their homes on that previously. OR was it the case the club thought there would be parking issue’s etc so thought it best to cancel. They don’t think about parking issue’s for the men’s home games with all those poxy ambulances and lorry’s on the dirt taking up loads of spaces.
Whatever gets done though the club always seem to keep copping the blame.

I have no idea when it was booked, but all I can say is I only saw the flyer advertising the charity match for the first time just a couple of weeks ago on Facebook and have seen nothing about it in the town at all.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
It’s not really down to the club to advertise this game though when it has absolutely nothing to do with DFC except their facilities being hired to host it.
I could fully understand it had the club organised the game but it’s nothing to do with them.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
I am sure it was booked months ago. I agree, the L&SERWL should have been advised before the the fixtures were done. But knowing that league and their general incompetence, even if they had been told they still would have mucked it up. With all due respect 5th, why should Dartford FC Women be relegated to the 4g pitch? They have definitely earned their right to play on the main pitch. I believe they were offered to play on the plastic but rightly turned it down. The nonentities kickabout should take place on the plastic. Or, two games on one day. This debacle has made Dartford FC look very silly indeed. The 5th Searcher wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 2:29 pm I could well and truely be wrong here but I’m guessing that the charity game would’ve been booked in well in advance of the ladies fixtures being released so it’s unfortunate that this game was drawn at home on the same date.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
Fulham have been enjoying this. I don't blame them.
I gave them plenty of stick last season. They might be a lot of things but stupid isn't one of them. Quite the opposite really. After all it helped them win the league last season.
When a club postpones a match "due to unforeseen circumstances" with no follow up ie "we wish them a speedy recovery" it's because someone's screwed up big time.
And now the West Londoners are having their day bathing in the glory of DFC's embarrassment.
Neither will Ebbsfleet buy the official public statement either.
They've been there before, when Sutton United cancelled their trip to Stonebridge Road last season. Giving only three hours notice. And very cagey they were about it too.

Re: Dartesses v Ebbsfleet Utd Women
I just feel saddened for the Dartford FC Women's team to be treated like this.
All they want to do is to play football, and proud also to represent their club in brilliant facilities like Princes Park Stadium.
Ironic really, after a group of fans had clubbed together for a banner to try and improve the match-day experience at Princes Park for supporters, the DFC Women's are 'edged-out'.
Cheers to Keith and friends for paying for this. In my view, it all helps with the aesthetics of the ground.
Certainly, in my books, not a proud day for Dartford FC
