Re: Brentwood Town v Dartford Sat 11 Oct 2025
We easily deserved the point and should have been 1-0 at half time. I’ve been very critical of Henly but what an amazing save it was from the free kick, only for him 40 seconds later to be rooted too his line for us to concede the goal. The new lads look like they’ll need some time to fit in and we can’t expect too much from them. A more stable team with the back 4 but there was also a lot of hoofing going on. Good point, need to follow it up on Tuesday

Sorry , i didn’t go today so have not got the goal . Suffering with a bit of depression right now so I am not sure when I will be back filming. If anyone else wants to take over feel free , you can always send the goals to me and I will upload them

Not in the neighbourhood and missed the match today. Whilst many of our draws have felt like two points dropped, this one feels like one point gained.
Victory on Tuesday night will put us above our opponents, and possibly as high as seventh in the league. There is much to play for and I hope the team can push on from this good result to finally kick start this season.

We looked solid and competitive and a draw probably a fair result. Poor game though with a lot
of hoof ball from both teams. Can't get over how bad the quality of football is at this level.
For their goal we let the guy have a free run into the box from midfield with nobody tracking him
or getting a tackle in, very poor.
Lots of old Darts in attendance, Lee Noble, lee Burns, Danny Harris and Paul Sawyer.

A Decent away point away to the runaway leaders, will take that but we do need to turn those draws into wins. We have had 6 draws in 10 games, those 6 draws are the equivalent of winning 2 of those 6 games but losing the other 4 games for those 6 points, which isn't a great stat.
Re: Brentwood Town v Dartford Sat 11 Oct 2025
I thought a draw was a fair result and as they had won their previous 5 home league games, you have to say a decent result as well.
On what i saw today though Brentwood weren't as good as i was expecting, but maybe because we were a bit better. We were certainly a lot better than last week but that wouldn't have been hard.
It doesn't feel like it to me but we are now seven unbeaten in the league but if we are to have any serious intentions of promotion, we need to start turning draws into wins, starting Tuesday.
As for todays game, not a classic and had a bit of a low key feel to it but that's probably because it's one of those grounds where its not a great place to watch and as a result, the atmosphere isn't great either.
New guys did ok but way too early to judge

I wouldn't have subbed Eddie, it seems to me no matter how some play they will never get subbed or dropped.
Decent turnout again from the Darts faithful

MOTM difficult as nobody really stood out, it was more of an all round team performance

We were the better team until we scored then to me it appeared that we panicked a little being one up. We didn’t exactly sit back but we became nervous. It was a matter log time that they would equalise and once they did we never actually look like losing. So it was all very surreal to me.
I have to say I am very impressed with Dan Smith. Proper centre forward and I do hope he scores a few this season. He can play on the ground and in the air and is strong and clever
If he received the ball a couple of yards further forward he would get goals with his first touch but to get goals like that he needs good passes or crosses from the wings and obviously Eddie and Callum will never be able to provide. My one hope is that he will build up a link with Olly and I am sure that will happen
Overall I thought Brentwood were a little fitter than us so fitness is something we should improve imo
I don’t think the season is lost for us so I am optimistic
Ade still needs to improve the squad in certain areas and I am pleased the two new lads looked steady keeping the game simple and not attempting anything hollywood

If this is in reference to Callum then I would say I 100% agree. Won’t ever fault the work rate but he’s not looked the same player this season. Forwards should be judged on goals, not how far they run.Park Life wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 8:24 pm I thought a draw was a fair result and as they had won their previous 5 home league games, you have to say a decent result as well.

It must get frustrating for the other lads to see their number come up every week.
Obviously if it wasn’t in reference to Callum then none of the above is relevant
