It's not news from the National League South but the National League North. Macclesfield striker Ethan McLeod sadly died in a car accident on the M1 last night whilst on his way home from his clubs match at Bedford Town.

Just listened to a meet the manager that Dowsen had with H&R supporters and he said at Dartford the budget was slashed and Martin Tyler told him to get out which he ignored,

I was on the understanding that the budget was not slashed
It did bring back bad memories listening to his voice I turned it off after 10 minutes

I was so glad the day The Buffon was sacked and hoped he would just go away and we could all forget about him and move on.
But unfortunately that is obviously not the case and as he's made those comments i will respond.

Along with you JCJ I was pretty sure the budget was not slashed so i wanted to check and had it confirmed today that The Buffoons statement is not true.
The budget remained in line with the previous seasons and was NOT SLASHED and imo the real reason his time at Dartford was not successful was because he systematically ripped apart a very good squad of players and replaced them with really poor replacements and crocks.
Yes we made the play offs in his first season but i believe that was mainly down to keeping a few of the previous squad including the best centre back partnership in the division (Bonner and Essam). But once he replaced virtually everyone with "his players" we played the most boring football and tactic wise we were a joke, it was "dinosaur" football and no surprise we were relegated.
Add to that from the first moment he walked in to the ground and started with the "forced fun Karaoke" which was cringy and quite clearly uncomfortable for a few of the players we were on a downward spiral. And don't forget his interviews which were a total car crash, he contradicted himself all the time, slated the players in public, constantly moaned about the B****T and alienated the fans when quite clearly the reason his time at DFC was so bad was because he was absolute CRAP as our manager. I honestly believe in the fifty odd years i have been watching DFC he is the worse manager I've seen as not only did he destroy the club on the pitch, he created a massive divide between the fans and club.

I've been stewing over this since he left but as always just left it because he'd gone and i didn't see the point, but if he's going to come out and spew a total lie to hide his shortcomings, i thought it was time to throw my two penneth worth in.

Spot on. As usual, Steve. That twunt mugged us good and proper. The only person who has ever turned me away from attending games until he was got rid of. I was THAT angry with him and it had nothing to do with him telling me to f*ck off on one of the many occasions I had a ‘pop’ after he tried to f*ck us! As do that w*nker Tyler - stick to commentating.
