Dartford FC feature in Football Focus magazine

Post by Skip »

Football Focus magazine has a 10 page spread on the Darts. See page 87 onwards. Nice to see the 5 year plan getting a mention…

About a dozen non league clubs featured including a couple from Kent (Folkestone and Faversham) plus my new home town side, Felixstowe & Walton.

Thanks for that link Skip. Long time no see. The article just goes to show how much goes on behind the scenes. It is also why I continue to buy my season ticket each year since the Darts returned to Dartford at Princes Park, even though I may only get down from Merseyside once or twice a season. I even hold the first season ticket issued at Princes Park, having won it as first prize in a raffle. Still put money into the race nights over the years, with Mickey Austen putting so much work into the club, along with many others. The Darts are just a great club to support and have given me so much pleasure since I started supporting the club since I was 10, with complimentary being given out when I attended Temple Hill primary school. As I rush towards 80, that's nearly 70 years of supporting them. Thanks again Ship, and hope to catch up at a future game. Come On You Darts!!

Hi Pete,

I was hoping to get along to a play off game at PP but that looks unlikely now especially as 4/5th place will only secure an away semi. Perhaps next season. Pete?

Sorry Skip. Only just seen your message in response to my comment. I'm very very surprised your original post didn't attract more views or comments, to be honest.
I will be travelling down to the last game v Cray Valley, irrespective of the result this coming weekend. But if there is anything on the game, then it will end up being an interesting game. Don't know yet if we are in loved in the playoffs whether I can get down, but one never knows. My phone number is 07970 882034 just in case there is an opportunity to cat h up. Take care. Up The Darts.

Was it published a couple of months ago?
Indeed, a nice view of the DFC.
Alas, since then, VCD have bottomed out of a slippery slope. However, Bromley have excelled in their EFL status, going up and up that slope, with what seems to be a solid long fix, with the right people at the helm.
Two games left towards the playoffs, let's hope for the best by 25th April and beyond.
For our Women's last home fixture of the season
v Newhaven this Sunday, it's Free Entry.
Apparently, you can have a photo with the Premiership Trophy and meet our DFC Women. There's an entertaining Singer, with the Darts Grill and Champions' Bar Open, Premiership Games On.
It makes for an exciting afternoon of Fun!

Hi Pete, enjoy your visit which will hopefully also coincide with the Darts securing that final play off spot. Will keep hold of your number in case there’s a final to enable us to catch up!
