He’s just signed a two-year contract and not worth a release fee imo

No sweat, if it wasn't for his fighting career he probably would have been a good call.

Hakan Hayrettin has not been working for a few months but I understand he is ready to return. He has been successful at various clubs such as Maidstone. Braintree Thurrock, Dulwich and Walthamstow and has been John Stills assistant at Luton when they were promoted from the national and Dagenham as well
I know he is very passionate as a manager which is replicated by his players and god forbid he is a coach that favours attacking football. Well worth a punt in my opinion
Rambo, are you intending to go to the Waltham Abbey v Stanway Rovers ILN play off semi? Managers at both clubs have been successful at their level on smallish budgets (something Dartford’s new manager will need to get used?). Billy Holland at WA and Jamie Shaw at SR. Both teams play good, entertaining football and certainly might be where Darts need to look for their next appointment…

Hi Skip. Yes I am planning to go that game. Can’t say I know any about the manager but definitely every game I have seen of them has been exiting. Hopefully Bansal-McNulty is still there and a very good forward player called Eyoma or something close to that

It’s yet another ‘nail in the coffin’ for Dartford Football Club when a manager leaves - without being pushed - in preference for a club that were, until recently, leagues below us.

What have we become?

We need a ball-breaker in - rapido! No more Mr Nice Guy - get in a horrible frightening f*cker who’s not afraid to sweep clean the coin-passers in the club and kick ass when necessary.

Hakan?

Be intersting to see how many of our players from last season join him considering the rumours of a mass exdous if he stayed.
In his interview he said he likes playing wingers :D

Dartofrd fc need to act fast with a new manager rather than wait weeks beofre we get one in, I am annoyed at Pennock because in his interview he said he had several conversation with the owner at Ramsgate so how long has he known he was going, I thought he was nice guy but he has no loyalty, Also I feel if Dartford knew he was going to take the Ramsgate Job they should have sacked him, instead of giving him that last game.

What have DFC become losing managers and no doubt players to Ramsgate.

You beat me to it jcj. With the money behind Ramsgate a couple of our lads will more than likely be tempted.

And if DFC knew he was on the move you'd like to think they were looking for a new manager at the same time.

From my understanding the board were surprised :o :o
But none of us fans were which shows how out of touch they are.

For me it was on the cards a while ago after a "private" conversation he had with a fan which was not very complimentary about the club/board.
Still he's supposedly "another nice guy"

When as a club will we wake up and put the clubs interest first and sod everyone else....

As for high intensity and wingers 🤣🤣

Personally I'm glad he's gone because if you look at the facts, we've gone backwards this season and imo that was down mostly to poor management of the players. Add to that everyone knew he'd lost at least half the dressing room and lots of players were going to leave if he stayed.
Thats not sour grapes just facts....

Now he has gone do the players want to stay?
Cant believe the club has let this happen, even if they were shocked once they knew should have been sacked, Kingy was sacked for less in my opinion.

Yes, the club could have done something -increased the budget, including Ady's salary.
Oh well. Onwards and hopefully upwards.

Club may need to head hunt this time, Horlock of Maldon and Tiptree would be my choice.

Depends on the clubs ambitions I guess, inviting passive, quiet and yes men seems to be a requirement in a CV.

Gregg, I follow Felixstowe since moving here, it’s been in a season long battle with Maldon and Tiptree with the Essex club taking the title on goal difference. Their owners have deep pockets so it’s been a massive credit to Felixstowe in running them so close. We know Horlock is full time and on £75k plus a car, Freddie Sears is on 60k and their keeper on £50k. Their whole squad is on big bucks for this division and the one above. Completely different financial league to Dartford and will be massive joint favourites, along with Steve King’s Eastbourne for the ILP title. As you know Dartford is being left behind financially which is why the last two managers have regularly spouted on about the B word. Most people are not under any illusion that the current board and the ownership structure is unlikely to deliver a quick return to the NLS and sustain a team in that division.

I saw a post from Grassbank about the huge increase in the population of Dartford but this hasn’t been reflected in attendances which have plateaued at around 1100. When you look at other Kent clubs like Chatham and Ramsgate for example, they hit the 1000 plus mark from crowds of 3-400. This isn’t purely due to success on the pitch but a desire to making what each offers to their own communities. Perhaps our board should engage with these clubs more to understand what they have done and see if Dartford can replicate it? As for the next managerial appointment it will be interesting to see what the quality of applicants is? Has the board got the relevant capability to identify a talented manager at a lower level club and entice them to PP?
