It’s not all about money though it’s about the right players and team. You could buy the worlds best team doesn’t mean they can gel and win though.

Look at Ebbsfleet a couple of seasons ago they was paying crazy wages to bring in experienced players to basically buy the league and got no where. Now look at them.

The right manager will always build the right team and as long as they gel then who knows what can happen.

Chatham splashed the cash last season and blew the league where as we built a brand new team and almost won the league and lost out on promotion in the final match.

Not just a good point, but an excellent point 5th.

I have been quietly impressed by the way Ade has conducted his close season recruitment. You are 100% correct on the gelling of the team. That to me, was very much what happened last season with Ade, especially after the previous disjointed seasons, and to me, was reminiscent of the days when Tony Burman was manager. I see many similarities in their management styles and the squad team spirits generated.

Just hope we can take the form so far shown, into the league programme when it starts. However, there is a lot of competition, so I am certainly not expecting any easy ride. Any success will need hard work over a long season.

Enfield in Southern League Central so a step down, or Enfield Town in National South so a step up from last season. Suspect its the latter.
