A good result and a clean sheet to go with. Much needed after Tuesday.
We did enough without being spectacular, once again a slow start but grew into the game. Canvey never threatened our goal and to be honest I never felt like they would score.
Ref was absolutely woeful, but that's the consequence of dropping down a level, the refs get worse. Not that I thought that was possible after some of the displays I saw last season.
Sam has started the season well, another MOTM performance and capped off with a well taken goal, he is getting my forum vote too.
Christian-Law did well with his goal too, could've easily gone down for a penalty (although the ref would've probably waved it away) but showed strength to stay on his feet and slot into the bottom corner.
Carshalton next week will not be easy, they've started the season well. However so have Cray Valley and we have already beaten them so we do have what it takes.
COYD.

Great to get our first home win of the season but we still look a bit disjointed. I think we Samir back asap to give us that creativity and maybe a midfield general to make us more solid
Ref a and Lino’s were terrible , and it felt like we were playing against the officials as well
Anyway here are the goals
Sam Odauda scores Dartford’s 1st v Canvey Island
Tyler Christian-Law scores Dartford’s 2nd v Canvey Island

Very pleased overall. Positive signs that we will continue to improve. Just heard that the Wingate v Folkestone game was abandoned. Anybody heard a reason why? I would imagine a bad injury.

Keeper fell awkwardly and was injured apparently in the 88th minute . I am guessing the result will stand with it being abandoned so late on right ???
