At last! After having a good moan about our recent home performances I was impressed by the way we reacted after our oppo equalised.
3 good points against a decent team.
Also a worldy of a winning goal .COYDsss

A much better performance today than what I have seen recently and what a strike from young George to win it and get the 3pts.

I’ve given Jacob a bit of stick recently and today he gets some praise as he was excellent between the sticks today to keep us in it and win. Those 2 or 3 late reaction saves to keep them out was quality keeping.

Our forward line is beginning to create more & more chances but unfortunately can’t seem to convert any of them. He we converted at least half of the chances created in the first half then we would’ve gone in at least 3-0 up at halftime.

Our back line seemed to be very unsettled at times as well and it was only the saves from Jacob that kept them out otherwise the scoreline could well have been different again.

As I said a great strike from George for the winner and a very last gasp block from him to keep Cheshunt out, certainly one of his best games so far.

My MOTM vote goes to Jacob Marsdon for the saves he made to get us the 3pts.

Well Done Darts, let’s keep this run going now.

Spot on. It’s been like this all season. Embarrassingly inflated on some occasions. I just don’t know why!!

Do the kids who have obviously been playing football cos they are in their kits count?
I presume they get let into the game after. If so against Wingate and F they were making more noise than behind the goal.
Isn't that what we want? More youth, more noise?
Certainly kept awake.

A much needed win, hopefully kick start a run in the league. Ade has involved the youngsters throughout the games this season and in cases it hasn't worked . But not because of them in a lot of games.

A game of two goalkeepers for me. Jacob had a great game but theirs was better and busier. Samir must have thanked his lucky stars the only mess their keeper made was on the penalty. Thought it was a very poor spot kick but thankfully it went in.
Best outfield player for us was Denzelle, again a great save from their keeper when I thought it was in and then hitting the post.
Yes, George scored a cracking goal but even he must be grateful for his keepers performance.
For that I go with Jacob as MotM

IMO i'd forget about Yussuf as no good to us if he can be recalled a few hours before kick off or at any time, how can you prepare for a game in those circumstances.

I was told Dsane, Okoye and Olarewaju were all injured.
Okoye got injured Tuesday and had to go off and didn't look to good, but i believe Dsane and Olarewaju not too serious so fingers crossed.

I'm not sure if season ticket holders are counted if they attend or not but even if they are i cant believe it would be too many.
Every week we have a guess behind the goal on the attendance and my estimate yesterday was about 850.
The seats hold 600 so you can get an idea of how many are in attendance from that but i think what makes it look less is since we've been allowed to stand around the back concourse it looks as if there's less in the ground as there's a good 100-200 that stand there every week.

Another better performance form the lads to go with Tuesdays game at Potter Bar.
We could easily have been 2 or 3 nil up at HT and although Cheshunt came into it more in the second half i thought overall we were worthy winners.

You will always pick up injuries and suspensions and with three out injured yesterday we really were down to the bare bones and imo highlights the need for additions to the squad. But well done to everyone involved yesterday, they all played their part.

Some better performances from a lot of the players but MOTM for me Jacob, made some very good saves at crucial times.

Parky,

Season ticket holders NOT present need to be counted as they’ve paid to be there ! I reckon 625 actually there yesterday.

Maybe mate but the seats were about half full plus people standing behind them so that's about 350 just down that side. Add the other three sides and i think the crowd looked about right.

So if season ticket holders are counted in any event and then turn up and the attendance goes on turnstile clicks, are attending season ticket holders counted twice? Whatever is going on is laughable. I disagree with PL - most of this seasons attendance figures are way inflated. Can’t remember which game it was - but one of the many crap ones where the gate was reported as around 800 - it was so funny that I actually walked round and counted everyone. It wasn’t even 600. Mentioned it in the match thread. If so many people are seeing this and laughing at it, summat is wrong. Our small party every week forecast the crowd and say along the lines of, “it’ll be about 650 but they’ll announce 900+” It’s comical.

A very enjoyable game to watch. Lots of effort from all the players and many chances created following good passing moves.
I was torn between Marsddn and Whitfield for motm but I went for George because he was very brave and grew into the game. He lost 2 of his first 3 tussles and I feared he would be overrun. But he absolutely grew into the game winning headers , making tackles and generally being a real force in the game.
His goal after receiving a brilliant pass from Samir was stupendous, steadying himself then hitting a screamer into the net from well over 20 yards
It’s a young squad so there will be more highs and lows to come but the main thing is the young players want and are prepared to learn
I wouldn’t say no to one or two experienced players to join us but obviously we leave it to Ade to decide where we go from here but I am looking forward to a run of good form
