Well, at least we will also have the pleasure of playing Three Bridges next season!
Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026
Failure of a season from start to finish.
The summer recruitment was horrendous, frempah and eze signed and loaned out within a few months.
The choice of captaincy failed miserably.
He’s had two years to get us up and it hasn’t worked.
If the board give him another year it will show a real lack of ambition imo.
We will be losing a fair amount of players over the summer as it is, get a new manager in early doors and let him build a squad.
Ady has blundered his way through this season and hasn’t ever got the best out some real attacking talent.
Real shame to see just how far we’ve fallen over the years.

I think there will be a mass exodus in the summer including Ade.

Sad way to end the battle for the play offs but the damage was done earlier in the season. I was desperately hoping we'd scrape in but we were always pushing our luck. Too many silly draws when we needed wins. Overall, not good enough.

On the day Bromley win promotion
Yet another bad day for Dfc….stop blaming managers and ffs stop blaming referees as one person continuously does every week
Blame the inept board it’s time for them to go end of the lack of accountability is laughable they have caused Dartford football club to become the laughing stock of Kent
Never backed mr Burman when the club were very close to league football and seem content to sit and let the club drop down the pyramid
Don’t make any excuses it’s firmly their fault and that in my humble opinion is the truth

We really needed to bounce back up immediately, if not last season this one. We could stagnate at this rate.
Who knows what it needs to get out of this division, new manager, more money, sugar coated daddy?
I think we will lose Ade. Just who is there to take over? Especially if we get a smaller B****T.
It was a colourful season just a shame we couldn't have prolonged it.

He's part of the reason we are where we are, incompetent decision making at the top.
Move on, it's not 2008 anymore.

Yes I’m full aware he is on the board but it was the other board members that reigned the spending iin and let champion and Bonner go
That started the decline don’t blame TB blame the other board members especially the bank manager

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026
Can't believe that we have conceded another late equaliser, this time to bring our season to a premature end. It cannot end quickly enough now. Poor recruitment, under-prepared for the first competitive matches, dreadful disciplinary record, dreadful defending, FA Cup embarrassment, likewise the FACT.
We were on top in this match in the second half, until we scored. We still created chances, but we appeared very open at the back to long through balls that held up on the dreadful artificial surface. The same for both teams I know, but the home team know how much the ball holds up. Many players from both teams fell when trying to turn quickly. You rarely see that on grass. I have now seen enough to call time on watching football on these modern surfaces. Give me grass and mud any day.
Next season should start tomorrow. Tonight is for the drowning of sorrows and the acceptance that this was just not good enough. Let us hope we hit the ground running next season with a fit, strong, enthusiastic group of players and that we see a meritocracy with the best players getting most game time. We need to aim for promotion as champions to avoid the ridiculous lottery of the play-offs.
Best of luck to whoever finishes second next week. You deserve promotion and I hope that the play-off farce is kind to you.

Let’s be honest this season has not been anywhere near good enough, recruitment preseason proved to be very poor, discipline early season was terrible. Our away form has been poor and we have conceded to many late goals.
As for the future unless we are going to run with a bigger budget I can’t see us getting out of this league anytime soon, whoever the manager is going forward I don’t want to hear that he is not spending ever penny the club can give him.
I think the directors do need to think carefully about weather they are capable of taking the club forward, the board have done a good job over the years of running the club but it does seem that we are going backwards now and I personally think there is more chance of us dropping another league than getting promoted.

Prime development land for the council ….don’t trust em one bit
Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026
Over the 90 mins we edged it but considering what was at stake, it wasn't the performance i expected. It just seemed like any other game.
On the way down i said i thought it would end 1-1 so when we went 2-1 up odds of 5-1 for the draw were too appealing and sadly i was proved right, as we did what we've done a few times this season and failed to hold the lead.
Still we've met our apparent objective of "mid table safety" but unfortunately we haven't been "amazed" by getting a play off spot...........
I'm not surprised at what's happened though as i didn't think we'd go up, but i did think we'd make the play offs!
It's been glaringly obvious to most of us what we've lacked and with a few additions to this squad in the right areas, this season could have been so much better.
Roughly four years ago THE BOARD made the decision to sack Kingy when we were regulalrly competing at the top of the NLS with a realistic chance of promotion EVERY season. SInce then the CLUB has been in decline and to not get promoted this season is another failure, but to not even make the play offs is shocking and another reason why imo we need to rip up the one man one vote consitution and get an investor in who can take ownership and run the club.
IMO we're lacking leadership on the pitch, off the pitch and in the boardroom.
So for me if the board are considering keeping Ady, the question they have to ask is are they 100% sure he will get us promoted?
Because trust me, whether Ady stays or goes we will be totally rebuilding the squad in the close season.

Parky. You’d make a brilliant politician.
. I’m calling the whole shebang as a massive crock of shit. I’ve backed the Board for yonks. They’re now on my radar. If this shit continues, I’m not off elsewhere for my footy fix - I’ll just pack it all in. I dread what’s coming to Dartford Football Club.

It was a good job Ady wasn’t in the dugout as the fans walked as it would have been interesting, as it was I felt sorry for the kit men they were getting a lot of stick….
Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026
Excellent post parky, one which I completely agree with.
We have no divine right but we should have made the play offs at least
This one man one vote is getting us nowhere
Without decent investment this club will carry on stagnating.
