Always difficult to play against 10 men as it proves. But got back in front.
A nice three points against a side that are obviously going to be an unknown quantity. For a while.
Looking forward to Tuesday.

Hope the Potters Bar Town goalie has the same gloves on for Tuesday as he did today! 🤞

Fantastic result to start the season against what was supposedly very tough opposition.

Well Done to Ady and all the players & supporters that went, a very important win and first 3pts.

I’ll look forward to the highlights, great stuff.

That should boost the crowd at Dover.
And it won't do our attendance any harm on Tuesday.

Really enjoyed the day with Darts fans swarming back [ several I havent seen for a couple of seasons - welcome back ] friends estimate 650/700 attendance today , welcome 3pts , a bit of a scrappy game and we were not at our flowing best but energy and desire to win showed through and we deserved the win . Bit thin on experience today with Duane and Samir out and we do need to add a couple of same to squad as subs mainly too young
I liked the look of Sam Okoye at right back , strong , pacy , good overlay and loves a tackle , my MOTM

Good TEAM effort as Cray are a decent team and decent win but its only the start , work to be done !!!!!!!

An away win in the first game of the season against a newly promoted team is a good result so well done to Ady and the team.

First half i thought we played well limiting them to very few opportunities and on another day could have gone in more than one up if we had taken one of the several chances we created.

Second half game became a bit scrappy but when their guy got sent off for his second yellow i thought they looked a bit disjointed and i was hoping we would push on and put the game to bed. Unfortunately that didn't happen and they settled back down and got the equaliser and our keeper Matt earned himself a yellow card as he was unhappy about something that went on. Couldn't really see anything from the other end so maybe the video will clear it up. But we responded with a well worked goal and great finish from Denzelle to secure a deserved victory over the 90 mins.

First time our players have played a competitive game together and some encouraging signs so hopefully we will build on this and improve as i feel there will be tougher games ahead.

All in all a very good day, great result and mention to the Darts faithful who turned out in large numbers. Not sure what the attendance was but it looked like we had at least half the crowd.

Take that result for the first game of the season. Its always difficult to play away to a newly promoted team full of confidence for the first match . We were definitely the better side and deserved to lead at the break after great work for Ollie and a lovely finish from Callum . Second half we came out a bit slowly and Cray started to look more of a threat. That continued even after they had a man sent off and equalised from a corner which looked like Kerbey had been fouled. That woke us up and we took charge again and the winner came from a fantastic 25 yard strike from Denzelle after some great passing build up play . Watch it over and over 👏👏👏

Aaah. Lovely to be back. Away day 3 points in front of hundreds of travelling Darts. A first half performance that vindicated my pre-season confidence followed by an unbelievable second half performance - (against ten men!) that had me, one again, watching from behind my virtual sofa! I even saw our Chairman, in justified frustration, head-butt the fence behind us! What he didn’t see, (a height thing) was the shock on the young bar girl’s face who was having a sneaky smoke-break on the other side! Priceless! Jumpers for goalposts. Isthmian league footy is back! I think we’ll be okay!

Up and running with an away win against a promoted side full of confidence in our first game is all we could ask for. And the lads delivered. So well done Darts, especially with four of the academy lads in the starting lineup and by the commentary, all putting in a performance.

Park Life, Will Bass in his commentary was saying that our keeper was having his shirt pulled off and described the decision not to award a foul in Darts favour one of the worst decisions he had witnessed since he started commentating for the Darts, now starting his 3rd season. He just couldn't understand how the referee couldn't see the fouling.

I must admit to getting edgy in the 8 minutes of stoppage time as CVPM seemed to be putting pressure on us in spite of having only 10 men.

We will now find out on Tuesday whether Potters Bar 0-8 home defeat by Dover was a fluke result. I'm guessing we had a spy at that game to suss out the situation. But early season games often come up with some strange results. Or are Dover really that strong??

But even with a winning away game and 3 points sees us nearly half way down the league table due to goal differences, so everything to play for on Tuesday.

All things considered, that was a great start for Ady's new look Darts. We didn't look like a completely new side, there was organisation and understanding that I didn't expect to see until a few weeks further down the line. We were particularly good in the first half and should have extended our lead, but it was encouraging that having conceded the equaliser that should never have been allowed, we were able to step up a level and take back the 3 points with an absolute cracker of a goal. The heat was stifling today but the lads held up well. A lot of boxes ticked today and a great start. Well done everyone.

Great result and that second goal was a worldie. Hopefully we can lay last season to rest with a decent performance in the league.
For tonight though, three points is just fine!!
