Worse performance since the Dover debacle. Let's hope we get our act together for Wednesday.
Carshalton didn't have to play well to win today. We were awful all over.
Was going to give Denzelle my motm but Hayden's second half performance alone was good enough, that, and Denzelle's superb pass for their 4th.
A lot of rubbish played out there today, let's hope there is a vast improvement Wednesday or we can kiss promotion goodbye at the first hurdle.

Balls going astray, passing poor. Even with people shouting early scores going in our favour didn't seem to kick start our game.
Olly and Callum were creating nothing as the oppo bullied them at the back and with Samir on another planet at times, Carshalton had the game almost wrapped up at half time..
A goal back did nothing for us as they banged in two more.
Going into a semi final play off on the arse end of a tonking is not good preparation.
Let's hope for the right response next game.
Hate to think we could be at home to Dover should we win. But on this performance beating CVPM is a big ask.

Cmon lads let's get behind the team
Today was out of our hands I agree with ady resting players at half time but now it all starts again
darrford fc do half price tickets get a big crowd in to get behind the team we all know we can win the play offs
Adys black and white army

Disappointing following the events of the afternoon as I journeyed back from Bristol. Not sure why our game plan appears to have changed recently. For much of the game against Cray, we were mothing special. For the last twenty minutes we kept the ball on the plastic and ran them ragged. We were very unlucky not to steal a victory from that match.
This team is capable of winning the next two games and claiming promotion. We have a strong squad and a committed twelfth man. No time for the fainthearted. Lets get out there and get this done.
Come on you DARTS!

Not going to resort to “we are shit”, however we were pretty poor today which doesn’t bode too well for Wednesday. However, we are not a bad team overnight and have a decent chance of beating CVPM.
Kind of thank god we didn’t win at CW Monday as today would’ve been an absolute trainwreck by comparison.

I did something yesterday I've never done in the long years I've supported Dartford I left at half time and went home, after their second goal just before the break it was game over. They looked a much better team than us, Samir is obviously playing on an injury and should have been rested yesterday and saved for the play-offs, talking of which I think we will edge past Cray Valley 2-1 and don't be surprised if Dover do a job on Billericay which will bring them to Princes Park where I fear they will do a job on us. Perhaps I'm losing the faith.

Blimey Tommy, yes we were poor, but then I haven't gone home at half time in 57 years and I've seen a lot worse than that.
Then to get a goal back and miss a sitter, I was expecting a Folkestone revival. But as said, Carshalton were a different class. They brought on their top scorer and added two more, not that he played a big part in that.
Hopefully, it will be a different Dartford side that takes to the pitch Wednesday. It certainly needs to be. I seem to remember the home game with CVPM, they played a containing game and seemed quite happy getting the draw.
I don't think they looked anything like Carshalton. But they (CVPM) have an experienced manager.
We've got to get behind them.
The last play off semi we were in was against St Albans and the general feeling was we were not in a good place going into the game.
I'm sure Ade and Roland will have us in the right frame of mind for Wednesday.
But the truth is we didn't expect a lot this season and we have excelled. The lad's have done good.
By the way, congrats to Callum. He deserved both trophies.

Can not and will not criticise these boys , at this point they need our support.
The only observation is I hope we can stop conceding so many attacks on our wide defensive areas where opponents are overloading us and getting behind in dangerous areas way too often and in most games.

In the words of the song by the Lottery Winners, “(Get up and) Start Again”.
I, for one, cannot criticise this team that have been superb this season based on their season-end finish in the League. Great work and I have every faith in the lads putting on a display to win the game on Wednesday. One game at a time.
Hayden MotM for me yesterday - he was immense.

Completely agree-how To give a team with nothing to play for a boost. Crazy. Anyone know the 50-50 numbers btw?Jonty wrote: Sat Apr 26, 2025 4:05 pm I was not impressed with our man on the PA before the game saying “we are going to win today”. What a plonker.

Ultimately the result didn't matter but I was massively disappointed with the game and
performance. Carshalton had nothing at stake in the game but run us ragged. It took me
back to those dark days in October when we were getting out run, out worked and out
fought by teams. Really hope it was a blip but if we perform like that in the playoff(s)
We won't progress. Need to get Bullas, Dunne and Opulade back together in midfield,
to take control of games.

Little to add; a poor first half as it was v. Folkestone, but quite a good stirring comeback with subs looking to impress. A well worked goal for George (who scored in all 3 games I've seen this season) and it looked like an equaliser from where we stood, but guess it must have gone wide or disallowed. Compared to Folkestone, it became a good game to watch, particularly as by then the result wouldn't have changed things. Carshalton always looked dangerous on the attacks which exposed our defensive shortcomings, something to work on before Wednesday. Denzelle, Hayden and Sam stood out for me.
A good atmosphere and nice to catch up with some old mates, with at least 2 travelling down further than me. Got surrounded at Abbey Wood by several lively fancy dressed lads from Maidenhead en route to the Fleet, thinking me a bit weird coming so much further, but wished us well, saying we ought to be National League level and with a good ground. Amen to that, we live in hope as always. Will be cheering on Wednesday; it's still in our hands, but flying on Sunday when I also fear it may be Dover who've overcome their blip and seem better away. Up the Darts!
PS forgot to check 50/50, but assume the £350 has been claimed.
