I can't see a 'pub team' being beaten by a 'park team' SD.
Which says a lot for Weymouth.

To be fair, we've played two games in the cup this season so does that count as a cup run.... ;)

We haven't had the same central defenders from day one because of injuries and players sent off.
Discipline has been a major problem, I get that and we have players in a squad that a lot of us haven't seen yet.
We now have queries on the management and certain players and now it's leaking back into the old cracked record of the Board.
I do have issues on certain players myself and I still don't get the plaudits of our Mr 45 minute man.
But now we are getting supporters saying they may not come back after taking a break???
Sure, we have problems but it wasn't until October last year that we found we had a good side that went on to give us something to shout about.
Ade gets my backing to sort things but as said, officials have been dire, sendings off regular, and we're only 5 games into our domestic season. And now we have what is an injury crisis for a small squad.
Get behind the lads and our manager.
Yes, we f*cked up on what could have been a good cup run. So be it.
Wise words Lars, thank you.
I’m feeling better about things this morning, though still dissapointed. Can’t make Saturdays game due to a long-standing commitment but will be straight back for the next game.

People that criticise the Board like they do have, all due respects, not got a clue how a football club is run. The quote “one of the skintest teams in the league” is, frankly, absurd. Mentions of that man King are also completely ridiculous (though I’m not going to elaborate on here).

We have somewhat of an injury/absence crisis, that’s clearly to see. We do, however, lack leadership on the pitch and we need to address our leaky defence.

I for one back Ady as manager and the Board.

(PS I am obviously pleased for Bracknell due to by former association with them. They are now well set for a good run, AGAIN, in the cup).

A bit disappointing but looking at the team last night, 7 academy players, 4 of which have established themselves in the starting team on a regular basis. Not bad going from Ade as those four wouldn't get a look in from previous managers.
Out of the cup and as said by Steve, a great cup run :D
On to Saturday and Canvey Island, so let's get behind the lads, whatever side Ade can put out on the pitch.

Points towards bad recruitment if we are filling the bench with academy lads who have barely played before and then throwing them on when we are chasing the game.

We have no squad depth.

I've seen 4 games in which we've conceded 9 goals and scored only 1 and haven't at any time been in control of any of them.
We've had a lot of the play but have been very wasteful with our opportunities and our defence keeps nodding off.
It might not be a disaster yet but it certainly isn't good enough.
I really struggled to pick a MOTM last night but eventually went for Olly Box because they kept kicking him so he must have been doing something right.
We simply have to do better than this.

That comment was made off the back of one of adys interviews at the end of last season, which I believe he said that we have one of the lowest budgets in the league compared to other teams,

I'm there week in week out and am normally optimistic, I'm normally the one telling people it will get better and that its just injuries that have hindered us, but we desperately need to recruit asap

Don't know what comment that was you were referring to Rixsto. I for one never target others on here, I just put my view.
If it comes to targeting it's normally to ban them and as I have only banned one you may be able to guess who that is?

Likewise Rixsto, not sure what you are referring to. An earlier post referred to us as one of the SKINTEST in the league. Whoever it was might have used a different word 🤔. Skint we are not!

Anyway, stay positive my friend. I agree that there’s some sorting out to do but I, for one, trust that Ady, with the support of the Board, will do it.

If our budget is not competitive then we are in trouble....... money talks and kids win nothing are two well known football sayings.
Yes there is a long way to go but unless we bring in more quality and experience I for one can only see a real struggle this season.
It wasn't long ago that we had ,Bradbrook ,Noble. harris,Burns and Hayes causing havoc to far better teams than the ones we are pitted against now.

This present squad might be trying hard but people will eventually vote with their feet and simply not bother
Princes park is a fantastic set up.......great stadium,
All weather pitches, great facilities and loyal support
So what is going wrong?
Because apart from a 20 minute spell against Carshalton the rest has been hard work to put it mildly.

Regarding the budget. I was originally concerned when in an interview after the Dover game, Pennock revealed “a month into the season, a board member said to me: “just keep us in the league so these games are a bonus for us really”. He revealed these comments were due to “financial constraints”.

There was also many comments from Pennock saying “we’re punching above our weight” which i’m sure as fans we’d all agree is untrue.

Finally, I was informed by a friend, he overheard Pennock say we had the 8th lowest budget in the league last season, take that as you will, i’d hate to spread false info just going off what i’ve been told.

Sorry guys I probably haven't worded that too well, I was indeed referring to that interview after the dover game last season about "financial constraints", and how we are 8th best budget in the league after just coming down,

Think I was still pissed off with the result from the night before when I wrote that to be honest guys, but bring on Saturday hopefully we can start a run, COYD!

I heard we had the eighth highest budget in this league ? a long way short of the budgets given to Kingy and subsequently Douse thereafter, and they both complained about the lack of funds then to strengthen the squad , so what hope has Pennock got ?
Pennock stating “ we’re punching above our weight “ is probably a true reflection on the state of Dartford football club at this moment . I think fans have got to get used to the fact we are not in a position to compete financially with Conference level clubs and NlS level is probably as far as this club is capable of , and even that level is becoming more of a challenge?
We’ve been at this level and thereabouts since the club was formed, so nothing has really changed over the years . We still buy our season tickets and we turn up rain or shine and we all complain on here when it’s not going well , so somethings will never change , just like Dartford Football Club .

Very true, and even once these greats had propelled us up to Step 1 we remained an attractive enough proposition for the likes of Tom Champion, Mark Arber, Jon Main, Peter Sweeney, Alex Woodward, Marcus Betinelli, Jon Wallis to name a few

Just watched the highlights. I still think the second half challenge on Olly was worse than either of those in the second half at Ramsgate that resulted in red cards being shown.

Disappointing to see close up just how bad our defending was for both goals that we conceded.

Roll on Saturday. Let us hope for a stronger defensive performance and a little luck in front of goal. I don't have enough credit with the man upstairs to ask for a decent ref as well!
