Wasn't there last night and won't be on Saturday neither as I'm flying in late. But that looked a cracker of a goal for Olly's first.
My condolences to Dan re his father.

Couldn't get to the game.
But well pleased that things have started to happen.
Not getting too carried away but on to Saturday and hopefully another 3 points which will put us in the mix.

Very good result against a decent opposition

What a great performance that was, it was reminiscent of the Hastings away game last season, which kick started our season. With Olly winning the MoM and a new midfielder coming in on loan and the performance to boot it was an enjoyable evening, just a shame about the low attendance. I thought Jacob had a very good home debut and the pairing with Pinder gave the team plenty of energy in the middle of the park which has been lacking of late. If we can maintain the run and turn more draws into wins we could be filling up one of those playoff places very soon.

A special mention to Kev for uploading the videos, I don't think you get the credit you deserve mate, you raise the profile of the club and you are very much appreciated by us supporters. I do have one question though. Did Kingy accept one of your b@llock warm Werther's Original and did you manage to find out his reason for being in attendance.

Glad to see you back in action Kev and catching all three goals excellently, and which is really appreciated by our exiled fans.

Wouldn’t shock me if Kingy got another gig at bus stop fc. Their fans are big fans of him, and they have recently announced the signing of Luke Allen who Kingy clearly liked.

With that being said it would have made more sense for him to be at Ramsgate last night if that’s the case.

Lol , Happy to do it mate , especially for those who can’t get to rhe match . I think it gives a different perspective seeing the goals from a terrace view.
Kingy was in good spirits and asked after my son which was nice . He came along just because he loves watching football and I think Dartford is much more special club to him than we realise.

Great to see you back and the videos allowed me another view of the goals other than the highlights while in Dublin so thanks Kev.

During Kings time as boss I think it was possibly the most exciting football i have seen at the Darts since the Peter Taylor days plus the quality of players he got in filled me with excitement what a team we had !

I was gutted when SK left the club but equally if he was at the helm today you wouldn't see any academy players in the first team and we would be back to a revolving door policy driven by agents.

I loved Steve King’s time at Dartford but I did not like the lottery of who might or might not be featuring in the team on any given Saturday or Tuesday. But I’d have him back.

Wouldn’t take him back as I think we are more steady currently under Ady and we have a strong unit with a good ethic.

That said I would have never sacked him and if we didn’t I have no doubt we would still be in the NLS.

I remember watching that play off final in a pub in dartford v Weymouth during covid and honestly believe if we had taken our chances and got promoted we would probably still be a national league side now and possibly full time but you can’t change history.

IMHO if Kingy had his own way, with his higher contacts, indeed he'd have kept us in NS at least. Well known fact he didn't tow the club line and massaged transfers to his own benefits. With our current unbeaten league run (only 2 wins), Ade is hopefully regaining supporters' trust and hope, lost through the cup disasters.
It must now be restrictive on budget to end of season?
This takes us to how tight the club's finances must be, with some sponsorships but not near enough, nor as lucrative, nor competitive as some. Their accounts may not be exclusively based on supporters' ownership but with either a more attractive monetary, leadership, accountability and business - like model (? Tonbridge / Chatham ?) or a solid and progressive foundation of multi investors (Bromley?). Some of our past 'Junior clubs' have progressed to even being forces to be reckoned with...
(? Faversham, ? Ramsgate, ? Wembley - winners Whitstable etc.)
We also need to adapt to the new F.A thinking and world order, including fully - supporting a women side that may again bring some cash relief to the club. Why not indeed have 1-2 female directors / associates?
We never know. It may snowball from there?

Just to be clear. I didn’t, necessarily, mean ‘right now.’ Just in general. If ALL the ducks were aligned.
