The highlights never give you the true reflection of the game and even in the first half we still had the better opportunities. Welling did put a big shift in the first half but it was clear that towards the end of the first half that the pace of game was beginning to catch up with them and it was always a case of when we would eventually score. Once again our fitness levels were a couple of levels above out opponents and we can count ourselves unlucky not to have had a few more goals as we overrun them as the match went on. All in all it was a very entertaining game from both sets of players and I can see that Welling will start climbing the table now that Rod Stringer is at the helm. I don't entirely like his dialogue but he knows the game at this level, he is character and rarely do we put one over him.
In the end I went with Ollie for my MoM with his tireless running up and down the wing as well as the goal and assists. He is clearly playing the best football of his life and I hope he can remain fit the remainder of the season.
