Was gonna post my comments about Tuesday night but I think everyone covered what I was thinking or wanted to say....maybe if we sing 'Peter Taylors black and white army ' enough on Saturday afternoon we might get Peter Taylor back !

I believe he was one of the applicants before Ady got the job. The PT era was one of my favorite's, I still think that he is the best player I have seen in a Darts shirt. Who could forget his various free kick routines, the corners that were swung in with such pace and his amazing dribbling skills. However, no time to be sentimental, we need the points and need to start climbing the table. COYD

Jonty, 4 glorious seasons under the player management wizardry that is/was Peter Taylor. 100 plus goals per season. What a time to be a Dartford supporter. Canvey has had a calamitous start to the season so it really should normally be three points in the bag but all the injuries, suspensions could put the mockers on that!

I think that’s the point he was a Player/Manager ( and an excellent player for Dartford as those who saw him will fondly remember), but as a Manager today I’m not convinced either.
Just hope we can manage to get out of the rut we seem to be in. I think we need someone with more leadership skills at the heart of the defence and a bit more bite in midfield

Have to agree. Taylor’s record at his last half dozen plus clubs has been pretty abysmal. Time to move on from management and stick to scouting or such like. I was really surprised that Canvey appointed him. Looks like they are going to reap what they sow. I’m expecting to see them relegated to the Isthmian North and playing my current local club come next season.

Hoping that we can all put the disappointments of Monday / Saturday / Tuesday behind us and finally get this season up and running. Good to see that we have a new defender inbound who can hopefully bring some stability and help to cut out the silly mistakes that are costing us. Nothing against our keeper, but I would like to see an outfield player wearing the captain armband thus allowing engagement with the man in the middle during the match. I think it is no coincidence that we have suffered from numerous poor decisions this season when opponents have been constantly in the ear of the referee. Ramsgate and the two cup ties were fine examples of this.

Looking forward to giving Peter Taylor a warm welcome to PP. The seasons when he was in charge are amongst my favourite memories at the club. I hope that he will not be too disappointed if this match signals the much needed change in our fortunes.

Come on you DARTS!

Non League Day?
Was hoping the club would have made the most of it, Men being at Home v Peter Taylor's Canvey Island today and Women v Ebbsfleet tomorrow, maybe even as a 1pm curtain raiser to the 4pm David Lloyd Gym - organised Charity event, with Love Island ones.
That would have been a nice package for the weekend, encouraging attendance and increasing DFC awareness and revenue in many ways, towards the 5 - year plan.

As we have only just found out, the Dartford FC Women's fixture against a very weak Ebbsfleet FC Women has been postponed, due to "unforseen circumstances"! What was unforseen about a long arranged "bunch of nobodies" , sorry, "charity match", having a kick about on the main pitch? Why not have it when either of our senior teams were playing away. Is that really too difficult to arrange?

Non league day is on the 28th March. No need for misinformation.

The days of the pitch being a critical part of the football club are clearly over. We try to encourage teams to warm up down the sides rather than in the goalmouth to prevent unnecessary wear, then we agree to host a charity match on the surface. I thought we had a plastic training pitch that could have been used for a charity kickabout.

I hope they are paying a good price for the use of the pitch on Sunday, especially as they have prevented a schedulled home fixture of our ladies team.

Fair enough. Followed wrong info.
No non league day today & no women's Derby game tomorrow, due to Advance - booked charity match!

I'm hearing the new CB might not be registered to play today?? Not 100% sure but that's the rumour.
Taking into account the players who came off injured Tuesday we could have up to 7 not available today!!!!

Difficult to predict the line up but if none of those are available we could.go:-

Henly
Williams, Whitefield, Frempah, Smith
Olopade, Pinder
Box
Dsane, Jones

Fingers crossed some are available.......

Can we seriously not host two games in one day? Ebbsfleet will be doing so in October, their ladies playing straight after the men.
