Re: Chatham Town v Dartford Sat 27 Dec 2025
I dislike plastic pitch football, but I have not seen a 'Boxing Day' match in years due to family commitments. The format change gives me the opportunity this year. I hope our team adapt to the fake surface better than they did at Ramsgate or Cray, the last two matches that I attended where grass had been banished.
Merry Christmas, one and all.

I hope the lads put up a gritty performance and put one over on the Chats. Merry Christmas to all.

I see that Chatham beat Bromley in the Kent Senior Cup yesterday. Maybe not a full strength side fielded by Bromley, perhaps.
Anyway, to all supporters , team, management and those behind the scenes, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. COYD

It was just a Bromley XI Pete so don’t think they was taking the cup that seriously considering they are 3rd in division 2 and pushing for promotion. Chatham gave everyone free entry to the game and just asked all fans to donate if they wanted to or could afford it to the local Wisdom Hospice charity who was in attendance.PeteSamson wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 3:06 pm I see that Chatham beat Bromley in the Kent Senior Cup yesterday. They had been given permission to do this by the KCFA, the league and Bromley FC, the attendance was given as 3019 so hopefully they made a good amount for charity.

Kevin Hake the Chatham Chairman / manager has worked with the charity for quite a few years now to help raise funds.

Absolutely awesome gesture by the Chats. I doubt they're as charitable against us. I’m gonna miss it but I doubt a repeat of last year in the pissing rain where we dominated. The 5th Searcher wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 5:36 pmIt was just a Bromley XI Pete so don’t think they was taking the cup that seriously considering they are 3rd in division 2 and pushing for promotion. It seems that Chatham are another club who are intent on stopping our 'yoof' element from entering their ground. The club has been informed by Chatham that they will not be allowing any unaccompanied U18s into the match tomorrow unless they are known to security staff. All U18s must be accompanied by an adult or they will be turned away.
