Thank You DFC Women

Post by Ring of fire »

As we go into the last day of 2025, all of the DFC need to say a massive Thank You to our Women side for the brilliant FACup Ties that we all recently followed with great interests, whether at the games or checking the scores, results and next draws. It had to end sometime, not before raising the DFC flag high, putting a smile on the faces of the growing band of DFC Women matchday supporters. This would have given our Board along with the Financial Director, yet again, a 'bigger' boost to the club Accounts for this season.
Hoping this is also considered, IF our DFC Women were to successfully gain promotion, to a league that would indeed require a larger budget, with further sponsors. These may perhaps be part of a revised and more inclusive board set - up, going forward.

They are a fantastic team run by brilliant coaches with sound management. They've never been in a better position to win the league than they are now. The National League beckons.
Let's hope and pray that those who run Dartford Football Club recognise the potential of the women's game, which is rapidly on the rise all over the country, and match the ambitions of our ladies team.
They've had their best FA Cup run ever, earning a tidy sum for DFC and it was two dreadful decisions by an inexperienced referee which saw our opponents narrowly progress to the next round with a home tie against Liverpool.
Make no mistake, that fixture against the WSL side would have smashed our recent highest ever attendance at Princes Park along with the media interest it would have generated too. It would have been a free hit worth over £100,000 in total prize money if they pulled it off. Nearly £70,000 if they lost.
