Despite the huffs, puffs, misses and eye - catching decisions, 2 wins in a row to try and target a playoff place. We'll take the ugly wins, despite the quality.

Considering Ramsgate are tearing up the league I thought they looked a bit "all over the place".
We took care of almost everything they put into the box.
We weren't great, with Rohan missing a sitter having left a defender behind.
Dan and Sammy McLeod by far the best two on the pitch for us.
With Dan my MOTM

I thought Ramsgate's triple substitution at half time did themselves no favours at all. In fact I thought they were a much poorer side for it. Our defence coped throughout with balls into the box. Their attack was poor but they were quick out of defence.
McLeod was my MOTM, I thought he had a great game. Plaudits for Dan Carter for his passing and getting stuck in but Sammy also put himself about.
We didn't look comfortable even when they went down to 10 men and the sitter at the end was unbelievable.
Didn't get to see my Ramsgate pal even though he was there but I was busy showing the wife's son around on his first visit to PP. He seemed impressed with it ( I truly believed he thought it was going to be a bit of grass in the middle of a field) and even he thought Dan Carter was our best player.
Still, he is used to watching Leicester City.
Say no more.
Sam McLeod for me.

Taken in isolation I thought that was a decent performance from our lads against very good opponents. Easily our best showing for a couple of months. Ramsgate had lots of pace and started at a very high tempo and for a while we struggled to cope, but our defence stood firm and gradually we got on top and ran out worthy winners. It wasn't a bad game to watch and would have been a lot better but for Captain Pedantic, the overly officious referee who seemed to blow up every time players came within a yard of each other. By day he's probably a football hating traffic warden who keeps his super villain identity secret for match days. MOTM was a toss up between Carter and McLeod, both of whom were excellent, I went for Carter. It's bizarre how we seem to play better against better opponents yet struggle against the dross. Maybe that will come in handy if we somehow do manage to creep into the playoffs.
