Re: Dartford v Burgess Hill Town Tue 30 Sep 2025
To pick up a point from a previous post, I have no idea if Henly is good captain material or not. However, what I observe is that opponents' captains spend the entire match in the ear of the ref, constantly complaining and making observations and their opinions known. I am sure that this has an ...

Re: Goodbye Dave
Really sad news. Last time I had a really good chat with Duke was in the bar at Dulwich about 4-5 years ago when we covered all sorts of football related matter! Having read Duke’s post (copied on here by Trev) that he was in ill health it made me think of my own mortality. So many Darts supporters ...

Re: Dartford Players of The Past
I’ll be interested in Rambo’s scouting report on his latest performance but suggest Dartford have a look before someone else takes a punt. He’s definitely up to step 3 level football.GordonRoadDart wrote: Sat Sep 13, 2025 7:12 pm Amrit scored again, in the FA Cup victory over Gorleston today.

He was Amrit Bansal- McNulty. Looked him up and whilst I don’t remember him he ws on loan to Dartford four years ago for a handful of games and scoring one goal
He was absolutely brilliant and a real bundle of energy scoring both Abbey goals in a 2-1 win , the winning goal coming when they ...

Re: Dartford v Canvey Island Sat 6 Sep 2025
Peter Taylor would be a massive NO from me.
Have to agree. Taylor’s record at his last half dozen plus clubs has been pretty abysmal. Time to move on from management and stick to scouting or such like. I was really surprised that Canvey appointed him. Looks like they are going to reap what they ...

Tony H asked
Where can I see “Light at the End of the Tunnel” please?
Tony it was a good many years ago when we were at the Watling Street ground and you could find Spike and Gary the contributors standing outside the turnstile in Watling Street handing out the magazine for free.
And we sold ...

Re: Best app for live scores?
Any recommendations for apps that cover the Isthmian League, please?
I've used Livescore in the past, but this season it seems to have gone down the pan, in terms of accuracy and volumes of irritating ads!
Dave,
Football Webpages. There is an app which is more flexible as you can select your ...

Fantastic come back to get a draw, well done Darts and especially Eddie.
What sort of crowd did they have down there, hopefully quite a few Darts fans.
Thanks for the updates as normal Parky.
We had a crazy result at Ramsgate back in the Kent league days I think we won 5 -4 with a late ...

Re: John Ripley - RIP
Very sad news indeed.
I was lucky enough to know "Rip" very well, and l couldn't believe my luck when he agreed to manage the Sunday League team I ran... the mighty Southfleet Rams. :) 0 The most successful five years for the club were under his management.
A lovely guy and still a cracking ...

M 1 South says
How the mighty have fallen!!
It might be a drop down the leagues but I would have him back at any time
Around 100 goals a season from the team when he was with us and he missed few penalties if any, well rehearsed free kicks and corners meant we never knew what was going to happen ...
