What to expect 2025
Soooo we were coni national side beating Luton away and constantly on TV beating the likes of Grimsby etc with a massive fans following……
My expectations are we should be massive challenger's at this level top 3 minimum and seeing crowds of 1500 plus which will be driven by the clubs focus of fans and community first !
What does everyone’s else expect ?

Re: What to expect 2025
Its all about money even at our level, if you've got it you will get the players. At the moment only Samir, Josh Hill, Calum Jones and Ollie would get into the Dartford teams of old. I suspect Ade is hoping the rest of the squad will improve and be good enough to get us into the top 5 playoff positions.
Re: What to expect 2025
The biggest worry I have is that the club slips into complacent mode. It was one thing to be perennial contenders who just missed out in the league above, but we should be huge contenders in this division, certainly amongst the favourites, and everything the club does should be about getting promotion back into NLS. Ade had a massive task in rebuilding the entire squad and has done reasonably well so far, but I get uneasy when I hear so many people waxing lyrical about a 3-1 defeat away to Worthing. Sure it was better than the week before and I understand the manager has to look for positives, but at the end of the day we still lost! I hope I'm wrong but I'm sensing the club's aspirations are a little lower than I would like them to be.
The saying is "Shoot for the moon and even if you miss you will land amongst the stars" ... I worry that we're not fully committed yet to even looking up.

To rephrase the question slightly - if we should not be expecting to win the Isthmian Premier League - which division should DFC expect to win? Maintain that anything other than promotion represents underachievement this season.

Not wanting to sort of change the subject, but can i ask whatever happened to & what’s the plan going forward for Bradders & Nobes Testimonials they were promised? (and I believe tickets even sold for?) yes I know Covid hit, but even so that all finished over 2 x years ago now???
What we would all give to have those two playing centre mid in their prime together now!!

Re: What to expect 2025
I asked the same question to Steve Irving at the Chelmsford match last Good Friday and was told it was down to the supporters’ association to organise. Steve actually raised the issue with Micky Austin whilst I was there. So I’m assuming the DFCSA facilitate the testimonial fund raising activities and match? It seems to me that it has gone on far too long now that perhaps one match for both players would be the best option. It really galls me that two of our finest players, who both gave a decade plus of loyal service, have been treated so poorly. Someone just needs to take ownership and get it sorted; preferably whilst both players are still capable of bending over to tie their own laces.M1 South wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2024 12:29 pm Not wanting to sort of change the subject, but can i ask whatever happened to & what’s the plan going forward for Bradders & Nobes Testimonials they were promised? And then I just need to find the ticket I bought for Bradders’ originally scheduled match.

I still have two tickets for the Bradbrook testimonial , and was also asking the question when or if it was ever going to take place ? I believe there were quite a few tickets sold for this match and understandably postponed due to covid , but three years on and still no updates from the club , which doesn’t surprise me . No mention of any sort of refund which doesn’t surprise me either . Perhaps they can take the balance off a season ticket next season

Absolute nonsense that it should be down to the Supports Association. Club legends should be treated as such and therefore have the club itself sort out their testimonials.
If it was down to the SA to sort out, why was it even announced in the first place, BY THE CLUB.
Another example of how poorly this club is being run currently

Re: What to expect 2025
It's a sad fact that occasionally there will always be unscrupulous clubs who will be quick in taking your money for tickets and sponsorship etc leading to a none event enveloped by a wall of silence. The ones to watch out for in particular are the clubs in the red where the alarm bells are deafening. Fortunately, in most cases it's nothing sinister, just lack of organisation through bad management. Yet the outcome is still the same for the customer. A club will collect money by proxy through a trusted volunteer working out of the goodness of their heart. Then, in good faith towards both club and customer the money will be passed on to the administration staffed by those on the club's payroll.
And guess what? Very often that's where it all goes wrong and then people either know nothing or are simply not interested and don't want to know.
Before businesses were online very often the answers would have been discovered at the bottom of an overflowing in-tray.
In most industries the best way to get anything done at the end of the day is to go straight to the man at the top. But this is not always the case in football.
Then for anyone who feels wronged or ripped off the only recourse is via the legal system. Which is not ideal for everyone. I actually had a couple of disputes myself in the past year involving two different companies but fortunately had the services of a corporate lawyer and good friend who obtained a successful outcome. We had several beers after to say the least.
As far as football is concerned we can generally be proud of the way our clubs are run, especially at non-league level. Even though there may have been the odd dodgy club here and there across the water.
Which reminds me. We have a game on Tuesday, don't we?
As for those who purchased tickets for the testimonial matches of two DFC legends I think the club should man up and give you an answer or your money back. It's basic common courtesy at the end of the day.

Re: What to expect 2025
He had one in 2016.
Re: What to expect 2025
As far as I know, clubs do not organise these games.
I'm sure Dartford FC can grant the players testimonials and assist with the use of the ground etc.
The players themselves should be forming a testimonial committee who then go on to organise the event(s) in conjunction with the players wishes.
Dartford FC should be able to assist, but should not be directly involved.

If the club isn't responsible for organising testimonials and you're not getting any answers, then my question to you and the other guys is, who sold you the tickets?

But the Club have to initially give the player concerned some available dates/times to be working on??
