Dartford fc were once a big name in non league football.but now we are big joke.
The downward spiral Continues and another relegation cannot be ruled out.
Blame directors blame the manager ,blame the player's or even the tea lady
One thing is for sure.......
This present management and team are only going in one direction and it ain't upwards.

Keep going like this and next seasons Boxing Day fixture could be a local derby against VCD !!
Football's a funny old game, one minute you're trying to get up with the big boys and the next, you're plummeting down the pyramid.

We need investment big time but the way the club is set that is not allowed, surely this needs to change.
I personally believe we have gone backwards since sacking Kingy did he spend all the money I doubt it but if he did the board allowed him to do it,
I like to hear an update from the board on our current situation are they just happy to be playing at this level or heaven forbid the next level down, Can we compete financially if not why not,
I feel sorry for Ady but I do wonder if he does have the connections or do they do not want to play at this level.
Something needs to change and very soon we are the laughing stock of nearest rivals and it bloody hurts

Investment is allowed even under our current structure but what you have to take into account is that we don't own the ground so can't see any big investors coming in as we don't have any real assets.JCJ wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2024 2:26 pm We need investment big time but the way the club is set that is not allowed, surely this needs to change.
It needs a lifelong fan to win the lottery so get buying.....
IMO in any business you can't just wave a magic wand and make big changes to turn things around, if you could everyone would do it. I believe you have to make loads of small changes to have a big overall effect and that is what i would be doing.
Re: Dartford v Wingate & Finchley Sat 19 Oct 2024
If only small changes are needed, I would like to know what you would put in place PL, I would like to know your solution. Something at the club is clearly not right at this moment in time, whether that is at boardroom level, with the first team coaching staff, day to day management of the stadium, staff on the payroll sitting on their backsides etc. You probably have a better idea of what is happening in the background than most of us PL and maybe we can all put our pennies together and bring you in as our version of Sir John Harvey-Jones. If ever the club could do with a trouble shooter, now would be a very good time.

I can't believe that people on here saying we need change only come up with platitudes like 'sack the board/manager/players but no constructive ideas. When sunshine dies give an opinion as to how to start the process, like Park Life has, they get shot down in flames but with no constructive counter argument put forward to solve things.Jonty wrote: Sun Oct 20, 2024 5:03 pm If only small changes are needed to I would like to know what you would put in place PL, I would like to know your solution. Probably because we don’t know the answers Taunton Dart. But one thing is glaringly obvious - something fkin big has got to change. And it’s gonna take someone way beyond the pay grade of most of us mere football fan mortals to identify it and implement a plan.

I didn’t realise that we would allow outside investment, If we are are the club on the look out for an investor?
When I look at other clubs that are getting investment surely a club like Dartford are a better option

We do get outside investment in terms of sponsorship/commercial and the club have been very successful in recent years with this.
But an outside investor would generally want to "own" the club and/or have a "majority say" if they're going to put a lot of money in and that is where we are probably not as attractive an option.
I do know that whilst we have fantastic facilities the running costs for water, gas & electric have gone through the roof in recent years (as we all know) and this has had a big impact on the club.

But if you can’t get the paying public through the gates you won’t be able to pay bills
Even the most ardent fans must know it’s time for a huge change…..or they won’t need to worry about paying bills within a few years

Every club (whatever the level or sport?) faces the same problem with utility bills though!! It’s not just a Dfc problem!!

If there is an issue on the level of electricity costs there is a simple response to ease the costs, move Saturday kick off time to 1pm

Let's just not leave it too late before we drop the current management team like last season. Hate to say it but if we are not in the top half and climbing at Christmas then it's time to say goodbye.

Seems a reasonably simple problem to diagnose in that yet again we are chopping and changing players a third of the way through the season…..again! We also exchange one bang average player for another for zero gain! Look at the goalkeeping situation like a Poisoned chalice being Dartford's number 1!! The buck stops with the manager for assembling such a mediocre squad and now committing surgery to it just before winter comes!
Re: Dartford v Wingate & Finchley Sat 19 Oct 2024
I completely agree with Hitchin Dart.
Far ,far too many BANG average players for this level of the game
I am not going to single out individuals but this teams performances are just not good enough and another relegation cannot be ruled out because we are losing to teams who we would have comfortably beaten 2/3 years ago.
My message to our directors is new Investment and better players needed otherwise we will.be down to the real hard-core of 400 or so supporters at home games.
What is happening to our once proud club is beyond a joke!!

Re: Dartford v Wingate & Finchley Sat 19 Oct 2024
1st Goal - Poor from Sam letting his man get in front of him and not anticipating the 2nd ball. Keeper also shifted his weight to the wrong side after he had struck the ball.
2nd Goal - Far too easy to get between our centre halves. One ball and they're through is completely unacceptable. I also do not like to see Josh jogging back in this, if he was sprinting to get back he might have been able to at least put their goalscorer off when the rebound fell to him, but as a result of his lack of effort he was nowhere.
3rd Goal - For the chance that led to the corner Sam, Denzelle and Michael are all jogging back when the advantage is played. Corner comes in and it's absolutely abysmal defending from Michael. He actually stands behind his man and just watches him have a free header, doesn't even try to challenge.
I'm even more fuming now after watching the goals back. The players just don't want it and cannot be arsed.
