Yet again another very good performance tonight against possibly one of the best teams I’ve seen us play this season. A very tough football playing team who loved to play it out from the back and knock it around with a bit of time wasting chucked in.
Chichester was very quick on the break and almost caught us out a couple of times and had it not been for Jacob then the score could’ve been slightly different hence why Marsdon got my MOTM vote. Our only saving grace tonight was that Chichester didn’t take their chances when they fell to them especially after hitting the crossbar and then skying the ball over with a completely open goal.

We started to look tired and very leggy towards the end of the game with a bit of cramp kicking in but tbh it’s not a surprise whatsoever considering the 2 very tough games we’ve faced in the last 3 days.

I’m beginning to wonder if Ady has had some kind of charging point fitted into the dressing room and soon as halftime comes he plugs Jonesy in ready for the 2nd half because the guy just does not stop running and chasing all game from the first whistle to the last.

The main aim of tonight was not to lose and the guys fulfilled that, had we managed to win and get the 3pts then that would’ve just been a bonus.

Onto the next game where fingers crossed our winning run can start again.

Well Done Ady & the boys on another great result.

On a slightly different note we need to give major credit to our new fitness coach for this season that Ady has brought into the club. The players energy & fitness levels this season has been absolutely immense and without doubt the best I’ve seen at DFC for a long time. It’s this factor which has actually gone on to win us games this season, where as the opposition have started to fade out with about 15 - 20 minutes to go our players always seem to find another couple of gears.

As many have said it was a hard fought game against a very good team. We showed real grit to get a deserved point. Every player put in a real shift and I had three contenders for motm in Jacob Michael ( who was an absolute beast) and Hayden. In the end I went for Jacob who made some excellent stops and showed a lot of bravery
Hopefully we will win on Saturday as one point from the last six will be disappointing but 4 from six will be a delight

Unfortunately didn't attend last night but it sounds like a close game. Have to agree though that should Chichester had got there game played at Folkestone last Saturday we'd be looking at a different scoreline maybe.
Still it maintains our unbeaten record which is something NOT to be sniffed at.
Hopefully we get back to winning ways next Saturday.

A well deserved point. Well said Ade. I like the fact he doesn't blow his own trumpet on sitting at the top of the table and he keeps the lads feet on the ground.
They shouldn't be disappointed and nor should the fans. I certainly didn't expect the team to be where they are back in October, but now we are we all need to be grounded and put no pressure on the lad's.
We are playing great stuff let's hope we can get back to winning ways quickly.
