FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

Again, awful. We played two minutes of decent football today in which time Ollie scored a very good goal. The other 88 minutes - absolute dross. Too many of our players going through the motions I think, need a bloody good shake up.
Surely we can’t get any worse, can we!? Question is where do we go from here?

As for MoM - surely there’s more than Parky suffering in the stands week to week. He gets my vote anyway.

Cheer up people. Go watch the women tomorrow in the FA Cup v QPR and see how proud they are to wear the DFC shirt. They'll put more effort in than that shower of s**t you saw today and they win more prize money than the men.
If there is to be a change in management, then perhaps some fresh faces on the board should be sort. Living off past reputation has worn a little thin now.

If any of our"players:" showed 10 % of the enthusiasm and Committment tha Parky does we would be top of the league and still in the cup competitions.

And not just him. Plenty of others too. I just don’t know how they do it. Baffles me. I mean, I do love DFC and gave up Premier League when Arsenal moved to the soulless concrete bowl - but I can’t bear to watch this shit. I’ll go home games cos I help out, but it’s all about enjoyment for me in my dotage. And this is far from enjoyable. I’d sooner be watching my missus shopping in Zara in Bluewater.Babylon wrote: Sat Oct 04, 2025 8:11 pm If any of our"players:" showed 10 % of the enthusiasm and Committment tha Parky does we would be top of the league and still in the cup competitions.

As for the MOTM votes it's a bit embarrassing and I'm definitely not the only one suffering in the stands so maybe Rick could make it "all the fans"
Incidentally this will be the third game in a row I've not voted for anyone........
As for today, we got the early goal but tbh after that we rarely troubled them, but they weren't any better and it has to be one of the worse games of football i've seen for some time. Neither side really created much but once they got the equaliser we all knew what was coming.
I'm not commenting on Adys position but i will say this, if he wants to carry on he needs to get a fair few new players in NOW.
Because after watching today's game, the players body language was concerning and it looked to me as if some had given up and didn't want to be there and if Ady continues with them, it will only end up with one outcome.
As for the bigger picture, we've been in decline for a few years now and it's difficult to see how we'll get out of the current situation.
Whilst i agree our b****t is not one of the highest, we had a certain manager a few years back who operated within the clubs limits without any problems bringing some of the best players i've seen to PP and playing some of the best football, so it's possible. But if i'm being totally honest, i don't have the belief any more that under the clubs current set up we will progress much so it's time to look for outside investment and real leadership. It seems to me that currently we have very little of that on and off the pitch.

I think people are voting for you Parklife because although you are correct that other fans are also at the game, your the one that keeps everyone updated who aren’t at the game or listening to the commentary and us fans appreciate your efforts whilst suffering the dismal performances.Park Life wrote: Sat Oct 04, 2025 10:54 pm As for the MOTM votes it's a bit embarrassing and I'm definitely not the only one suffering in the stands so maybe Rick could make it "all the fans"

Well said Park Life / 5th. So sorry for all that went to support our boys who were yet again let down by another first hurdle ’bye’ for our lower league opponents.
Do understand the ire directed toward Pennock regarding captaincy selection, however am coming around to the prospect of our troubles being at board level. Have been meaning to say how much standards are slipping in and around PP, some examples being the poor commentary (or lack thereof); general information given about the club; shoddy maintenance levels and impersonal & sometimes rude treatment of loyal fans. There seems to be a complacency / dormancy / arrogance because DFC has ‘a nice ground’. Well yes, but other clubs have & are catching us up and we are getting found out.

If changes are not made now, relegation will follow and club will only have themselves blame. Not good enough DFC - wake up smell the bloody coffee and act. If you were a business (are we one really ? ) then wholesale changes would be needed now . Please do not let us become the latest Wilkinson’s, Blockbusters etc - you’ll get my drift. When people ask me about my DFC now I have to talk quietly/whisper in case Bromley fans for example hear me and then take the piss. God - how have we fallen to this

The majority of football supporters can accept poor performances from their team especially at the level we find ourselves, however, attitude is a rite that supporters deserve. We have lost three cup ties against lower opposition which say to me a " we don't give a F..K" attitude which ultimately stems from the management team, or that they (the management) are unable to motivate the players for games against these teams, as we have also been crap in the league against 'perceived' lesser teams. Either way, whether attitudinal or motivational, it illustrates that Mr. Pennock and his team are not good enough and need to go. This is ignoring the facts that their on-field decisions are also dubious i.e. bad discipline throughout, getting a useless keeper and then making him captain, as the old adage goes "you reap what you sow", and they are sowing a poor harvest.

I didn't go so I can't vote for PL. But as said his movement in the Bar area has to be admired.
Our season has turned into a hum drum one. Just a matter of how far up the league we can get.

I would rather see us dig into the pockets for a loan goalie at this stage than paying out the manager because, frankly, I don’t think we could do better
Totally agree unfortunately

You can’t blame it all on injuries/suspensions or even the budget as it was increased with all the new sponsorship. Great work has taken place off the pitch from the boardroom and yet here we are. Personally, I really like Ady as a person, if fact I would say that he is a lovely guy and I really hope he can turn things around. However, something clearly isn’t right and I think we are getting very close to the inevitable point.
Maybe being to nice is his problem ; rather have a nasty basta*d in charge who can motivate and get results
Is your opinion on AP that he’s a super decent chap, what I completely agree, clouding your judgement of his performance of managing Dartford FC, not just this season but the later part of last season too.
I want him to do well coz I really like him. But I’m a DFC fan first.
Not sure where this club is going.

Let’s keep our comments accurate folks. Air our views about onfield performance, that is of paramount concern. Other stuff about off-field affairs in my humble opinion are way off the mark!
As for defeat to lower level teams in this season’s cup competitions Bracknell Town operate at the same level as we do (though we still should have beaten them).
Of course it is the responsibility of the Board to address matters on the pitch and, as I said after last Tuesdays game, October would be crucial to that decision. Yesterdays debacle may have to accelerate the process.
