Agree great performance from Henly, probably his best so far. There must be a reason CW didn’t built a shed / stand of some sort opposite the main building. It’s really not a very good football watching experience. Still, they were considerably better opponents than our last two games and we did well to get our first away win there today. Top banana Darts.

That was the best we have battled all season , it was full blooded at times and we were put under a hell of a lot of pressure.
First half both teams grew into the match with the lead coming from a superb ball through to Eddie who ran clear and scored with a sublime finish .
Cray continued to push but Dartford doubled the lead with Callum heading past the keeper from a Box cross.
After that the boys defended brilliantly putting in tackles, blocks and Henly pulling off a couple of brilliant saves
Callum Jones scores Dartford’s 2nd v Cray Wanderers

Okay,I admit after the FA Trophy exit I wanted shot of Ade. I still don't understand why its taken so long to gel, but we seem to have finally got into gear and for that I'm grateful. I hope we can push on now as this league should not be where we are mired, but at least we are playing football and getting points on the board. Happy days.

Okay, I think it's now safe to say that the Darts are back up and running and definitely in a promotion challenge. I've stayed off the forum in recent weeks as I felt some of the posts calling for the manager's head were ridiculously premature and I've learned over the years that arguing against those sort of posts only serves to magnify the negativity and widen the divide. I know that most of those posts were made by disappointed people whose heart is in the right place and I was hopeful that we would turn the corner and they would rejoin the fold of their own accord, and it looks like that is now the case.
I thought today was our best performance of the season so far and against decent opposition too. Eddie's on fire at the moment and took his goal superbly. Olly was excellent and set Callum up for a much needed boost of a goal too. Our defence was resolute and on the few occasions Cray breached our back line, Jonny Henly was excellent. In fact, I was really pleased for Henly as despite appearing to be an upgrade on last year, he hasn't had the best of starts with the Darts and was starting to get a bit of stick. But the last 4 or 5 games he has been getting better and better and today he gets my vote for MOTM. Of course, the fact that the back line was all over the place in those early games too, couldn't have helped. Nevertheless, it's all starting to come together and I can't wait for the Welling game next week.

Hadn’t thought about the fact that we hadn’t yet won away. I think the late equaliser at Ramsgate and strong performance at Brentwood had distracted me, but after looking, we had the 2nd-worst away record in the league before yesterday, behind only Canvey.DA Mikey wrote: Sat Oct 25, 2025 6:24 pm Agree great performance from Henly, probably his best so far. Two very good goals - thanks Kev for the videos.
Our next five games are against bottom-half sides. Not getting ahead of myself but this is a great chance to string some more results together!

For one, I am not surprised at the sudden surge up the league. Loads on here were asking for Ade's head weeks ago. Only last week I asked for a certain thread to be scrapped as it was petty and pointless.
It was only a matter of time to see that we have a good squad here and that it only needed the time to get going, although I do feel it needed a few signings to help it along the way.
Great result yesterday against formidable opponents but that didn't stop our charge back to where we belong.
In the mix.

So, Roland was unaware that Henley has been getting stick from the fans. Someone hasn't been telling him.
This was a crucial win for us yesterday, one for keeping the momentum going and two to let everyone else in the division know that we are not a club in crisis.
Same squad of players that started the season with the exception of Tennet, Bland and Carter. Same manager that a few thought was rubbish, that not long ago thought he could walk on water.
For me, Pennock has been the best manager since Burman for this club. A very nice man (too nice at times). Honest and genuine with a good right hand man that does honest opinion in his interviews.
Maybe we are off the leaders a tad and maybe we are not going to set the division alight this season. But I think we're going to have more of a say in things that others thought 3 weeks ago, was not the case.
Lovely win yesterday and looking forward to next Saturday.

Any highlights due do we know ?
Re: Cray Wanderers v Dartford Sat 25 Oct 2025
Great win yesterday and to echo what has been said, yes I was also one of those people screaming about how bad we was doing a few weeks back.
So glad we have found our form again, didn't stop going to games but it was getting depressing, still think we could do with one or two more signings just to bolster up our squad and possibly give Henly so real competition,
But having said all that so glad we are back and long may it continue, UP THE DARTS!

Re-echoed - on a couple of occasions I’ve tried to capture some goals or at least a bit of tasty action and it’s (almost) never worked. Very well done Kev, your efforts really are appreciated.Trevor B wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:57 am Baghdad Billy wroteCan I echo his comment, as week in week out Kev comes up trumps with the goals, how does he do it?Great work Kev goals looked banging
