Come back at FT when it's either 2-2 or 2-3.
Bet you’re gutted coz you look like exactly what you are.

To be fair to the lad it did finish 3-2, just not the way he wanted

Good performance from Dartford today, even if we did switch off to concede the second goal. Convinced the first goal was due to a foul being missed (not the only one) by the ref.

Dartford once again caused Chatham all manor of problems and only blatent holding prevented us from having more shots on target. Thankfully, those that we did have were pretty good today. Chatham have taken just one point from the last three games and face the prospect of falling out of the play-off places.

Three more wins could see us rise to fourth, with the outside prospect of a home tie in the final of the play-offs if results were to go our way. We currently have nothing and we therefore have nothing to lose. Those above us are currently in the play-offs, but won't be if they falter in the run-in. All we can do is win our games. Chatham and Brentwood have to perform or they face losing out at the last hurdle. All the pressure is on them and not on us.

Relegated Canvey Island are next.

Come on you DARTS!

Does football work to a science?

After Lewes, we were 5pts off the playoffs with 6 games to go. After Hashtag, we were 4pts adrift with 5 games to go.
After Carshalton it was down to 3pts off with 4 games to go. After today’s win we are 2pts off with 3 games to go.

I thought that we edged it.
Our lads were very much up for it and Chatham were rocked in the first half.
The 2nd half Chatham came into it a bit more and gave us some problems.

But our lads didn't panic and we were deserved winners in the end.

All we can do is win our remaining 3 games and hope that we can get into 4th or 5 th place

Wonderful performance from all the players, They left nothing on the pitch using every ounce of energy. Dan’s second goal and Olly’s goal were class. Olly’s goal is goal of the season without doubt for me .
We sat back a bit to early in the second half but we always looked as if we could score another at 2-1
We live another day to fight on and thd job that needs to be done is win the last three games and see what transpires
Well done and thank you to all the players and management

Well done to the players today for getting a really important win and keeping the pressure on the teams above. No point in dwelling on the past and all the ifs and buts, we've just got to keep winning and see what happens 🤞🤞

First half i thought we played well and desreved to go in ahead and whilst we had a little squaeky bum period in the second half, we thoroughly deserved the victory over the 90 minutes.

Some good goals and performances today but MOTM for me has to be Dan Smith.

I guessed the attendance at around 1600-1700 today but considering where they are in the league and the importance of this game, i thought the Chatham support was very poor so maybe that's why.

There was plenty of Yoof in the town about 1.30 clad in their black hoodies uniform.
About 40 of em stood on the footbridge between the station and The Orchard.
Plenty of police keeping control.

All the team gave 100%. Boxy, Smithy scored great goals. Bland was excellent considering his long lay off. But for me I'm going for Jeremiah Pinder. He was winning balls all over the park and his distribution was excellent.

There was 3 of the yoof all dressed in black leaving the ground at the end of the game. As they walked down Grassbanks they was looking in every car to see if they was Dartford or Chatham fans and as soon as they saw Chatham fans all the abuse and hand signals started goading the passengers over the score and then calling them w*nkers.
They stood on the corner of Grassbanks giving more abuse then walked off, just as they walked round the corner the driver of one car a Chatham fan got out and went to confront them but they had already walked off. Some shouting went on between them all before got back in his car but as he drove towards the traffic lights the abuse all started again, thankfully he stayed in his car this time.

As for the game the team all battled for each other and worked their socks off and fully deserved that win with 3 very well taken goals.
A couple of lapses in defence for the 2 Chatham goals where we didn’t clear the ball quick enough but apart from that everyone played really well with some good football played.

A pity Ady didn’t use his last 2 subs at all in Vaughan and Carter because both Dan Smith and Jones looked dead on their feet plus Smith looked as though he was limping which isn’t a surprise considering both played on Saturday as well.

Still we got the 3pts which is all that matters, Dan Smith my MOTM.

We just need to get those final 9pts from our last 3 games and hope others above slip up.

Another very good performance from the Darts, we do seem to have hit a good run of form, let's hope it's not too late. A fair result I think, MOTM Dan Smith. However, I have to say I've been very impressed with the two spells we've seen from Evans Kouassi, this guy is exciting. He is very quick and quite tricky, a proper old fashioned winger, something we haven't had for a few years. Great piece of trickery and cross for the third goal. I wonder if "Thank Evans, for little goals ... " could become a fans chant... apologies to Maurice Chevalier. If we could find our way to 3 wins, I think that would do the trick as it would only need one loss from either Chatham or Brentwood. It doesn't feel like it should do, we've thrown away so many points, but somehow we're still in contention and the season is still very much alive. Let's get behind the lads for that final push.

Our game management still gives me concern. Late in the match yesterday we had a throw on the left wing in line with the penalty box. We went for goal, which I was very happy with as Chatham looked uncomfortable with high balls in to the box. On this occasion, the header looped up towards the keeper. The Dartford player nearest the keeper made a half jump, but was never going to reach the ball. Knowing this, I think he should have given the keeper a gentle nudge, but instead gave the keeper a clean jump to collect the ball. Moments later the keeper sent the ball long and we were rushing back trying to cover a break-away attack. Had a free kick been awarded for a challenge on the keeper, the break would not have happened.

Chatham stopped two Dartford breaks late in the game with fouls that actually were unsuccessful, but sadly for us the ref awarded free-kicks rather than allowing the clear advantage that Dartford had gained. I do not think that either resulted in a yellow card, probably as the offences were committed in our half of the pitch.

I draw the line at the ridiculous amount of times that Chatham players feigned injury to stop the match. Late in the second half when two Chatham players took to the ground, the ref ignored them, probably as they had possession near the half-way line. If they wanted treatment, their team should have kicked the ball out to halt play. As the match was not stopped, they both jumped up and rushed up the pitch. How embarrassing.

The lack of engagement with the ref also concerns me. Chatham were constantly in the ref's ear during the match and I believe that they benefitted from more contentious decisions. I would argue that the same thing happened at their ground earlier in the season. I consider that having the captain remote from the action has been costly this year. Whilst I accept that any other player can engage with the ref, it does not appear to happen very often in our team and I would expect that it does not carry the same weight. If it did, why would there be a need for a captain to be nominated and to be easily identified by the officials?

We have a good team and can clearly mix it with the best on our day. Our discipline was excellent yesterday and there was no retaliation to some constant provocation from Chatham, especially the number six. That said, perhaps Ollie's tremendous goal was his response to the constant fouling that six committed against him. Keep up the good work guys and be lucky.

Firstly I'm very happy that Chatham saw it fit enough to join in in the second half. They actually turned it into a very interesting game. They scored two cracking goals. But enough of Chatham.
The lads deserved the victory because they played very well and gave everything to get the points. Many times in the first half they were getting in behind the Chatham defence and were unlucky not to add to the two goals. But the Chats had to change something and did wholesale changes early second half and on scoring their first gave us a 'Squeaky bum' moment. But I think our third finished them and even though they scored again, we saw the game out comfortably.
Smith was on fire and Oly's goal was a corker, both Pinder and Bland were fighting in midfield and often between them oened up the Chatham defence with ease. Throughout the first half our defence looked solid and gave Chatham little.
Nelson was his old self but played slightly better than he did at Chatham.
Anyway, big one next week and let's hope to carry on from yesterday and not screw it up with another stuttering defeat. It's in our hands.
Hopefully the immediate two above will slip up. But we can't rely on them.
My MOTM was across the board with the team.
But I''m enjoying watching Jeremiah. Especially going in with his foot high on one occasion ( which could have been nasty) but he turned it into ballet and nicked the ball from the Chat's player.
Well done the Lad's
