Re: FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

“Tinpot” is a much overrused term imho, and I can be just as guilty as the rest (though I use it more to describe Clubs, not Leagues). Dartfordhero, I do get what you’re saying, believe me (though there was no need to be so aggressive towards me!)

Truth is, as hard as it may be to take, we are ...

Re: FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

It's hardly a tin pot league. The top 5 or 6 are putting money into the clubs which we are not keeping up with.
But we have a team that finished 3rd last season and were 90 minutes from promotion.
When most of that squad put pen to paper in the summer that told me they wanted to carry on with ...

Not sure why people call this a tinpot league, but hey-ho! We have got to earn the right to promotion back to the NLS, we have no given right to it.

Re: FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

Let’s talk BUDGET shall we - it cost me yesterday £20 travel, £10 admission, £13 round at the bar and £10 for food (total of £53 for that !!!!!)

Sorry to state the obvious, but next weeks game at Brentwood is crucial and we haven’t won away since we beat Whitehawk in April.

Re: FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

Let’s keep our comments accurate folks. Air our views about onfield performance, that is of paramount concern. Other stuff about off-field affairs in my humble opinion are way off the mark!

As for defeat to lower level teams in this season’s cup competitions Bracknell Town operate at the same level ...

As for MoM - surely there’s more than Parky suffering in the stands week to week. He gets my vote anyway.

Re: FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hadley FC v Dartford - Sat 4 Oct 2025

Again, awful. We played two minutes of decent football today in which time Ollie scored a very good goal. The other 88 minutes - absolute dross. Too many of our players going through the motions I think, need a bloody good shake up.

Surely we can’t get any worse, can we!? Question is where do we go ...

Re: Dartford v Burgess Hill Town Tue 30 Sep 2025

For 80 minutes of that game tonight we had absolutely no control. So very untidy in midfield, toothless in attack and, at times, back to our unorganised selves in defence. In my humble opinion far from good enough - no better than a mid-table performance.

I could berate the referee who, like most ...

Re: Dartford v Cheshunt Sat 27 Sep 2025

Players back, much better shape with width, an organised defence (Tennant provides that much needed experience there), clean sheet and three points. Let’s hope that’s a catalyst for a surge in form. How good to go home after a win. Terrific stuff.

Mom Okoye - simply excellent yesterday.

Aveley regard this game as a local derby! Do any Darts fans on here think the same? IMO this isn’t a derby - despite the locality of both teams we’re in different counties (stating the obvious!)

Re: Dartford v Canvey Island Sat 6 Sep 2025

Judge us at Christmas. I, for one, am confident that with players back Ade will sort this out. Otherwise he’ll bring them in (eg Tennent - great signing in my opinion!)

Can’t comment on the game, wasn’t there but listened to the commentary. Sick of that constant crackling though - please sort those ...

Likewise Rixsto, not sure what you are referring to. An earlier post referred to us as one of the SKINTEST in the league. Whoever it was might have used a different word 🤔. Skint we are not!
